the problem with modern cars in general is the cvt transmission. They last 5 years at best unless you don't put much mileage on them. But car companies keep using it because of better fuel economy but at the end it'll end up being more costly for the consumer because the cost of repairing a transmission is $2k minimum. Nip cars from the 80's and 90's could easily last 30 years.

Come 2020 and onward everything on the market will be offering a partial EV drive train. Cylinder deactivation is already a thing, and tiny hybrid systems are going to be phased in to further reduce engine load when cruising at highway speeds.
Every shitbox and CUV on the market will be a hybrid.

With tax credits you can get a bolt as low as 23k and below 30k for sure.

It's still a very young and premium tech though, the Bolt is the best when it comes to price/performance in EVs though.

A decent Hybrid in lightly used condition is still gonna hit you 15k+ too.

I upgraded from a Mazda Protege, I have owned it for about 8 months now and I absolutely love every minute of driving it as my daily. Makes going to work fun every morning. Mileage isn't the greatest, but it has been pretty damn good on longer road trips. Going to make a trip up to rake the leafs soon with it.

Why the spoiler, though? I thought the WRX was a favorite among folks with a bit of car knowledge.

Both are nice but as a got older I realized how great the FC is.
