Practice your rotation on a dummy until you can do it without looking at your hotbar (with eyes closed ideally)

In a fight, the boss will alternate between mechanic / no mechanic, take advantage of that break between mechanics to check your buffs/timers and plan out in what order to use your shit so you don't have to think about it while dodging mechanics

It's really a question of mental rhythm. Once you get the hang of it it becomes pretty easy to keep up a bajillion timers at once and do mechanics

I use only keys I can reach comfortably with my left hand, so that's 1~6, A, E, R, T, Y, (using azerty keyboard, you might want to convert to qwerty) and 3 mouse buttons (including Mouse3) , and shift+1~6, shift+{A,E,R,T,Y}.
You can also use Ctrl+ key or X if you need more buttons, but don't hesitate to simplify your hotbars by taking off abilities that have no use. Every job has at least a few of those.

You can solo like 90% of older content at higher levels if that's what you're asking. There's a few things you can't do though still like certain parts of Coil and (probably) WoD.

Okay so just so I'm clear on this: in WoW it's basically: hit max level, grind for a while to get gear. Or you can try to jump into dungeons right away with groups.
And it's just a progression but there's still other stuff like pet battles, PVP, reputation/items to get (mostly grinding quests, etc) with various groups.

I think I know what you mean, you attack an enemy and while pulling the mobs the DPS will fire everything at them while you're still pulling.

Usually I don't mind losing aggro during that point if only the DPS could run towards me to AoE instead of running away in the opposite direction.

The only other thing I can think of is that you applied your tank stance before entering the dungeon, then got synced down and it got removed, but you didn't notice to reapply it. Either that or you're going into a ShB leveling dungeon with a Shire weapon or something like that. Still not sure if aggro would normally be a problem even in that case.

FFXIV Has tons of other things to do other then endgame raid. There is a huge list actually it's just finding out if you like it or not. For example I collect triple triad card but to some people they might not find that interesting.

There's rep in this game but you don't do it for gear you do it for crafting mats and mounts/emotes/minions. The solo endgame is crafting/gathering which plays almost like a combat job in that you have skills that you need to use. It's not like WoW where you click craft and it's done or right click a mode and it's done. Craft/gather is as indepth as combat jobs and you have your own separate gear progression

Yes. Your AOE combo on 2 targets is effectively 300 -> 500 potency while your single target combo is 200 -> 300 -> 400, and the AOE combo generates cartridges faster. I think you'd still use your Wicked Talon combo on 3 targets, but AOE weaponskills don't scale down on more targets, so it's usually really good to just mash AOE on pretty much any size of pack.

the only possible way you can lose aggro nowadays is if you have your tank stance on or the other tank is fighting over who's MTing

You're in for an ok time for the first 50 levels or so, some slow parts overall but it's serviceable. Soon after 50 you'll finish the initial main story and for about 100 quests after that it's awful. If you can get through that and into the first expansion though, you'll be in the clear.

My best advice is to take it slow. There's a ton of side content once you get to 50 that you can use to break things up or even just unsubscribe for a bit and then come back when you feel refreshed. If you try to force your way through the bad parts as fast as possible you're going to hate it.

I have a theory that the trailer shows upcoming parts of the 5.X patches.
All of the scenes featuring the Scions are events that have actually happened in accurate detail.

If the tank is using cooldowns properly and isn't horribly ungeared and the healer isn't horribly undergeared then it should be impossible to wipe if the healer just heals and does nothing else if they want to play it safe.

In my experience on Crystal though ERP isn't excruciatingly common there either, I had more people waltz up to me trying to virtually suck my dick on Moogle and Louisoix than I did Balmung/Mateus.

That was an example just so dps can feel in the same position as healers these days. I know well you can't lose aggro these days but tanks are so shit these days that healing is like dying on every single pull because the tank lost aggro.

DRK, literally invincible even on large pulls. They're retardedly easy to heal.

They don't do their aoe rotation. Melee are the worse for it which is shocking since they're not limited by tp. I've seen monks, dragoons and ninjas just do single target. Sams are the only melee I've come across that consistently aoe.

Also some blm are faggots just doing fire 4 rotations
