3DS

I love how people act like a console not getting any major releases after EIGHT YEARS of being on the market is some kind of bad or unexpected thing.
I bought a limited edition n3DSXL for 300 eurobucks and played 25 hours of Pokemon Y onit and never touched it since. rate my experience
hack it.
I still have a healthy backlog of 3DS games to play. I play my 3DS whenever I'm on the toilet, so it'll all get done eventually.
I fucking love Kid Icarus Uprising. Pit and his Dark Pit counterpart are fucking cuties.
About time don't you think?
I already have an old3ds.Is worth to buy a New3ds for snes emulation?
>implying
3DS will be remembered as one of the greatest handhelds ever, unlike pos handhelds like psp and vita.
I'm playing mine right now
Anyone else playing theirs?
What are you playing?
>tfw I use it on a daily basis to play DS games and SNES
I seriously don't know how you can enjoy the controls of Kid Icarus.I've tried so many times,my man but I just can't.
I don't know if it's worth it just for that, but my refurbished N3DSXL just got here yesterday, direct from Nintendo for $120, and it's like brand new.
definitely worth it in my case.
playing through the Ace Attorney Triology at the moment. loving the shit out of it.
I'm the guy you're replying to and I can't speak for everybody, but I find controlling with the analog-stick and aiming with A/B/X/Y to be comfortable. The trick to it, for both air and land combat, is to not worry so much about your lack of precision with A/B/X/Y, just strategically offset your crosshair and using the analog-stick to move Pit into the right spot for the crosshair to line up with an enemy.
>hack me!
But I’m still playing mine.
Didn’t they just release a new 3ds with the colorful buttons or am I sperging?
I don’t enjoy them either but it’s an enjoyable game
Nigga I just put mine down for a pee break
>2019
>not having CFW on your 3DS
what's your excuse?
Is the 3DS version your first time playing Xenoblade?
I bring my New 3DS XL with me along with my Switch when I go on trips or occasionally to work to play at lunch. I can’t say I’ve done that for any other portable and it’s predecessor but then again most portables are BC with their predecessor. I did carry around a DS Lite and PSP together with me on trips several years ago.
3DS is an 8-year-old console that survived the era of the smart phone and came out alive and sold decently all things considered. Nobody remembers the Vita. Nintendo hasn’t given it much in the past couple years but they did support it until nearly the end and they didn’t have to. Metroid Samus Returns should have been on Switch. I love it because it also plays DS games and I have VC titles plus legit ambassador roms. Yeah I can’t believe I paid almost $300 for it 8 years back but I did. Could have been worse, could have invested far more on 3D TV garbage
The tech was outdated 8 years ago, let it die PLEASE.
I can't believe people are paying for video games running at 400 x 200 in the year of our lord 2019.
It's an old fucking console and the Switch has replaced it. But it still has a great backlog and can also play OG NDS games. I recently picked up a 3DS so I could play Dragon Quest V and a bunch of shit I missed from its library. Just enjoy the games because frankly, I don't want it to get any new ones because of how outdated it is.
Yeah. I have trouble getting through non-portable RPGs now, but I might get a more complete Wii save file to go and dick around with sometime after things are over to get a better appreciation for how things looked on the big screen.
Also, any hints for the easiest way to unlock everything from Collection Mode?
psp was good (hacked to never need the umd drive) nigger. Vita sucked though
>Could have been worse
Yeah, like buying a vita. Now that is truly retarded. Glad snoy is out of the handheld market.
>Vita sucked though
To be fair, it’s great when it’s fully set up. It’s just a giant pain in the ass to do so when PSP is literally drag and drop tier.
Who rxtools here?
what the fuck where they smoking
>tfw bought one
>tfw nothing used it
It has more decent games on it then the last two console generations combined.
Ya I feel it would have more than two games using it if it had been built in from the start. Which is a lesson they should have taken from the PSP, but Nintendo survives on strong IP not good judgement of hardware.
I recently re-acquired a New 3DS, seems to be a good time to buy used games for it as they're pretty cheap right now. I have: Both Zelda remakes and Link Between Worlds, Mario 3D World, Animal Crossing, Pokémons X, Omega Ruby and Ultra Moon, and just nabbed Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for £13, happy with that. Planning to get all the 3DS fire emblem games, Luigi's Mansion and new Mario Bros.
Anything really good I'm missing out?
>3DS 240p (*2)
>Wii U 480p
>Switch & Switch Lite 720p
Truly Nintendo is at the cutting edge of screen resolutions...
And let's face it as soon as the Lite inevitably outsells the Switch, docked mode 1080p will be completely forgotten, textures will only be optimized for 720p and late gen games will look worse than the launch titles.
I couldn't really care less about the res as long as I like the games. EO in particular.
Retard/10
Thought of doing the same as well, but I think I should finish the more shorter games first. Does it run well?
You must be a janny. I never actually owned a Vita, I just trolled the fuck out of that thread though
just hack that shit
hax.b4k.co
>3ds version
>no switch version
monolith you stupid fucks
>Thought of doing the same as well, but I think I should finish the more shorter games first.
All Xeno games outside of Saga and it’s sequels are long AF. Plus it’s a decent entry point into the metaseries.
>Does it run well?
Relatively. It does chug a bit when you’re in a battle with a lot of enemies on screen, but that’s honestly more of a feature than a bug since it makes it easier to time the QTEs to boost Tension in battle.
Should I play Fire Emblem 4 or Mega Man Battle Network
(both are injected on my 3DS)
how about a hot beef injection, user :^)?
>2019
>it's time to pass the torch
I'm curious to see how many issues these things have at launch based off of how many people I see complain about how shitty the joycons are. you can easily replace a failed joycon, but what hardware failures in a singular unit like that?
FE4
>Tension
what the fuck is that, does the game explain its mechanics in a non-confusing way?
Should I get a refurbished New XL model? The official ones are $100 only. Can they still get CFW or did Nintendo patch that out?
>Be left-handed
>game is unplayable
O-oh
>those bezels
>that resolution
in 2019? Is nintendo really that fucking cheap?
my refurbished N3DSXL got here last night.
shit looks brand new. I think its a 'your mileage may vary' sort of deal, but I'm pretty pleased with it and I saved myself $80.
and yes, every system is hackable.
even the most up-to-date firmware is hackable.
hax.b4k.co
it's very simple to do if you aren't completely smooth brained.
>what the fuck is that
It’s a morale stat that tracks how well you’re fighting. You have an easier time pushing enemies’ shit in when it’s high, and struggle more when it’s low.
>does the game explain its mechanics in a non-confusing way?
Not particularly unless you have a photographic memory and can remember all the one-time tutorials. That said, in general you don’t need to know a whole lot to get through Xenoblade beyond leveling up your moves and that the game’s leveling system heavily favors the side that’s at least 2 levels above the other. There’s been exactly one boss in 65 hours of gameplay that I had trouble with when scaling my level accordingly.
Also, do the in-game quests as they come along. It’s an easy way to build EXP and money for upgrades.
