60-70: GNB was nice, being a tour guide was pretty sweet and most of the short arcs had satisfying conflicts and conclusions. The garlean at the last quest was fucking stupid though.
50-60: SAM was definitely satisfying with the whole mentor vs student thing. Even 60-70 was great. SAM's questline is definitely underrated. It felt like playing through an actual old samurai flick.

The King of the Alliance, the best paladin ever, and the matron of a dragonflight all died in one expansion like a year ago.

To be fair, the level of sentience of Sin Eaters seems a bit random. You have the Sin Eater'd Warriors of Light who are stuck repeating their most important act on instinct, you have the mindless ones like Telseen, but then you have Vauthry and Titania who are fully sentient but crazed by hunger.
