I hope you're not implying this piece of shit was good.

Yep its good u casual bitcj

Remember when graphics in video games wasn't what made the video game good?

Ok, well thanks for letting me know that I'm dealing with a complete retard and can safely ignore everything else you have to say.

Why do you assume that's the case here?

Shut up cunt, first few levels were good but then it turns it to a trash shooter.

There needs to be a good movie for there to be a good game

You can't make a good video game out of a shitty movie.

This but unironically

>modern Thing game gets made
>it's shallow as all hell since it'd prioritize graphical fidelity over gameplay, atmosphere, etc.

Yikes.

Just like you can't make a good post out of a shitty opinion, which you just very clearly demonstrated.

Because it's a movie from 1982, back when the atari vcs was the dominant gaming console.

The PS2 game was good, though. Maybe not a masterpeice and sure there is room for another game.

so Yea Forums, answer me this
was childs the thing?

It would be a great tech gimmick if they can make the Thing's separations/mutations work in a game. Like what you see in Spore's creature editor but bits shot off will become a new npc.

Nothing prevents other players from trolling you by killing you randomly or sabotaging objectives. It's a gamemode that just doesn't work without heavy moderation.

Singleplayer would need a lot of work put into it.

One of the best scenes of all time

Full bullshit computer simulation but it just works. Games will never be good movies.

lego star wars

Extermination on ps2 was pretty good and heavily inspired by the thing

>ps2
Yikes

because it's a hard as fuck concept to get right for a videogame

like seriously how would you design it

Prey

play deathwish for blood

>We'll never get The Thing: Isolation
>Hell, we'll never get Isolation anything anymore
fuck me

Mix of David Cage shit plus Alien Isolation with some Obscure sprinkled on top.
>Obscure
>X characters start, as they start dying you move to the last playable character until the good/bad ending.

No

Sounds fucking dumb.

It's because you didn't watch the movie.

Starcraft custom games mode was best version I’ve played of The Thing. You could trick your teammates or just pick them off one by one unless they were smart and all stuck together which never happened.

Stupid zoomer

I've been browsing Yea Forums for over ten years now and I don't think I've ever seen anyone but me and you just now bring up this game. It was surprisingly good.

Nobody's will ever make a movie of your life, so we're safe.

80% of Yea Forums was born in 2000 so the were barely able to walk when it released, how would they know about it? They don't even know Cold Fear.

Morbus (Garry's Mod mod) is kind of like The Thing, it even features a map that recreates the base from the movie.
