Yeah, Neo is pretty good. I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes Super R, while it's not my favorite of the Super series, I still think it's a good game, I especially like Yellow, Black, and White in that game.
Pretty solid. I would say Bomberman GB 2 and 3 are better games. I never chose Wario because his in-game sprite creeped me out. The Bomberman games improved per handheld (so, the GBC games are better than the GB games, the GBA games are better than the GBC games, and so on).

Kind of. A lot of the games have the same formula, but some games shake things up. Like the 3D games play quite differently compared to the 2D games. There's racing games, sports games, minigame games, etc. So kind of like Mario in that aspect.

Yes. Bomberman Land 3 is best game in series and one of most underrated game in PS2. Good graphic, comfy soundtrack, shit tons of mini game and collectable but there're specific events that require you to input password in japanese so you definitely need walkthrough if you want to clear the game

It was pretty awful on release, but updates made it a solid game, though I'd suggest you should wait for a price drop or sale if you reeeally want it.
And as a Bomberman game, it's pretty barebones. I think games like Bomberman Live/Blast/Ultra set the standards for how much content a Bomberman game should have at minimum.

i think as bomberman is now it's definitely in the same boat as smash with items on.
even though there definitely is a bit of thought and finesse to playing, especially with map gimmicks or when it's late game and there's only two people left with max power, the randomness of placed blocks and items make it difficult to tell if things are really "fair" between players.
im not really sure how one would mitigate those issues outside of turning them off and giving everyone a set power from the start, but that would definitely eliminate some of the fun in the first place
so i think the e-sports capability of bomberman is a definite maybe as long as the random parts of it are changed to somehow make it more fair for everyone.

Guess it depends on the game/continuity. Humans exist in some of the games (the action-rpgs being the best example (Quest, Tournament, Jetters GBA, and Story DS), and there were other humans like the ones you mentioned. Planet Bomber is usually only Bombermen, and no humans. Jetters had humans, but none on Planet Bomber.
I remember my sister said she paid $32 for that game for my birthday, but I remember seeing it for $5 on the Gamestop website. I only paid $15 for Generation (disk only) but that was a better game.

Easily, but would probably require removing items (making them passives instead), or at least making them less randomized. Remote bombs would have to be completely removed, though, they are absurdly good.
