Because I'm a casual that plays games to feel comfy, so the environments matter most to me, and everything else is second. I loved Uncharted, loved Oblivion, loved Witcher 3.

You'd die playing that passive on crushing. You have to employ running and gunning, blind fire, proper weapon usage and melee if you want to be proficient. If you sit in one spot you're going to get ran up on and destroyed.

It's got the feel of a comfy Hollywood adventure movie. The acting and dialouge are what sell it more than anything else.

I think they're fine games personally, but your milage will obviously vary.

This, I didn't know what to expect from the games when I got 4 in my PS4 bundle a few years ago, but I really enjoyed the games for the most part because of the adventure movie feel

I've played all of them, even Golden Abyss, and the climbing is 99% filler. Shooting gets better as the series goes on, but even with additions like the grappling hook and climbing pick, the climbing put me to sleep every time.

It's the continuation of the stream of indiana jones games that got shittier over time until uncharted softly revived them.

What better way is there to show off your system and graphics by having you climb from the bottom of a huge cliff to the top,with destruction and elaborate set pieces, only to come to a large view of some nice beautiful scenery of the entire map?

But y'know, that just often means its scripted and there's only one way to climb. I wish these climbing sections in these game were a little more involved sometimes. Make it so that I have to find my own way up instead of large hard to miss marked spots to climb, so it doesnt make me question who the hell climbed here before and intentionally placed all these things.

I own a ps4. I played the game. It's shit. Every time we have these threads the only positive comments are from vague autists saying it's "fun". They do this because they can't tell you why it's fun and they don't want any opinion challenged. All in all shows you how garbage the game is.

Uncharted is fun because I like the locations and setpieces and enjoy running and gunning, taking cover, and meleeing enemies when the situation calls for it. it feels like an action adventure movie in the best ways.

I played 1-3 but the 1st one was the most fun imo. Shooting monsters with an mp40 was neat. It also felt the most gamey and less like a cutscene simulator. Enjoyed them all though, I was sad I opted to not pick up part 4 for 10 buckaroodles on sale and said I'll get it next time, but i never saw it go that low.

Same, I miss it. I don't know what it is about 3 and 4's, but control-wise they felt more floatier than the main story, especially 3. 2's felt exactly like I feel it's supposed to be.
