As for gameplay, mp2 is still dead last because it sacrificed huge areas in 1 for small as fuck corridors which would be ok if the good levels weren't so fucking short and the bad ones not so long.

MP3 had decent gameplay overrall the story is pretty cliche take too much influence on modern action flicks like man on fire which is a remake based on a book.

I agree completely about mp2. Firstly, max payne was way too good looking in 2, in a prince charming way rather than a gritty way. He looked less like a manic cop and more like a romantic, probably due to the shit direction they took. Seriously, why did max fall so deeply in love? And why the FUCK would he kill a cop he thought was legit for that bitch? They made him into a cop killer for the dumbest of reasons.

Mp3 max is perfect to me because of the fact that the well done face scan (done from the actual VA) is much closer to how I imagine he should look in a modern game. I wonder what would've been had they stuck with Sam Lake as the model.
