I am going to add in three things:
1. Using websites to get the giftcards cheaper usually saves you about 10 bucks, and some of those have their own credits/deals. It will at the very least knock off all of the tax and then some for Americans. (10% savings usually, 20% if you get an excellent deal)
2. Nintendo does add games as time progresses
3. Even when they add games to the list, you sometimes cannot use the vouchers yet because the release date isn't close enough. Sort of annoying but once you can you will preload the game and all that.
