What's the difference between twitch emotes and Yea Forums buzzwords? They are exactly the same cancer overused. Are 4cucks feeling threatened because they don't control the meme production anymore? The magnum opus of Yea Forums is variations of pepe and wojak. Old Yea Forums memes (NO U, longcat is looong xD, cockmongler) was just cringe central, so nobody even cares about that.
The only thing this place is good for is shitposting without constraint, and saving funny images and webms (which are from other places but all in one place).

I think the major difference is that one is inherently commodified while the other is *supposed* to be as counter-cultural as possible. The problem is that people here want to live under the delusion that their personal values won't be snatched away by some larger group and whored out like "le rage faces."

It will happen to the current Yea Forums buzzwords too. It might take some time for Pepe and Wojak to lose their "naughty" connotations, but it will happen to them in a few years too. There are no exceptions.
