I'm more of a Dwarf Fortress kind of guy but to each their own.

Terraria, because it has Apaches.

both

terraria because first person games scares me

Terraria for game, Minecraft for comfy.
Minecraft can't beat Terraria in terms of gameplay, it has it beat in bosses and variety, but Minecraft edges ahead when it comes to building and an overall comfy experience.

why choose?
also this

minetest.

This
Terraria have alot of more contents to wasted your time on it
While early minecraft give the feeling of comfyness, you are alone in this world you can do whatever you want
Kinda wish mojang make new update that bring back the early feels of minecraft though

Both, although Terraria can become stale much quicker even with its content and even with mods

i prefer the game that broke the steam summer sale thing.

minecraft, because it has no flying

It does though.

Creative mode and I guess the Elytra to an extent if you got a fuck ton of firework rockets.

Terraria beats vanilla Minecraft. Modded Minecraft beats Terratia with the only caveat is the lag technical mods that add factories and conveyor belts might add.

The combat unfortunately will always be shit

gliding isnt flying

Honestly the combat for both are pretty bad, same goes for the chuckfuck game.

Ding ding ding.

Also Minecraft for machine mods.

Minecraft.
Terraria is cool with all the bosses it has and stuff, but the game just isn't that fun to play, and I don't see myself ever willing to start a fresh new run.
Minecraft on the the other hand always keeps me really entertained, the building is much more straightforward, and it being 3D instead of 2D opens up a lot more for random generation to be interesting. I've gone through dozens of worlds in Minecraft, and its always been very easy to get sucked back in for another 3-5 hours straight session.

This

Roblox

Terraria if you want to play an actual game with content
Minecraft if you want to build with blocks

Elytra with fireworks is even more bs than wings

Modded minecraft is such an exceptional experience, nobody ever came close to it or probably will. Yes, there are stuff FortressCraft Evolved or Factorio that try to capture some of the essence of technical mods, but they don't even close near the sheer variety of machinery and their interactions with each other that mods provide. Modded minecraft is a freeform puzzle and everyone can have their own solution to it, each valid and each different.

minecraft, it makes you feel like you have 4 arms

Terraria has content, minecraft is an unfinished turd.

Dwarf Fortress for when your autism reaches next level.

Why do you think Microsoft paid 2.5 billion fucking dollars? They know this and are gonna milk the game for the rest of eternity.
You could build a 1000 times better product at this time but it will just never catch up because minecrafts inherent popularity.

Minecraft died at the first Minecon when they firmly put their foot down that the game was no longer an in production fantasy world simulation game but just legos for kids.

both
unless vanilla, then terraria wins easily

I like both games and have been playing mc since 2012 but I prefer terraria, especially with mods. Everyone talks shit about calamity and it’s gay lore but it’s a good time except post moon lord

hytale trailer has almost 50 million views, it's probably gonna btfo minecraft
honestly it wouldn't even be that hard to shit on minecraft, so little effort is put into it it's crazy, hytale is the first clone to come forth and put in some work to turn the concept into a better game, and with heavy support for modders, it's over for minecraft.

Cube World

Planescape Torment

Terraria actually has things to do, minecraft is a very wide randomly generated puddle.

>hytale
>can't mod your client
>heavy support for modders
Either way you do know that marketing will keep minecraft on top forever right? That's why no game no matter how much better is gonna take over

Based.

Last run I did with machine mods was kinda disappointing though. Which ones do you recommend? Something with clear goals and an "endgame" would be preferable. like Factorio's rocket.

Minecraft if modded, otherwise Terraria since it's a full game.

This. Overall I prefer Minecraft because it's comfy and immersive, but there's no question that in terms of mechanics/depth/combat Terraria wins.

Honestly the only thing I do in terraria is build cool houses. The combat fucking bores me.

Wollay updated his twitter last week
twitter.com/wol_lay
Still no real update in sight

opposite for me, all I do in minecraft is build shit cause everything else sucks, and in terraria i just build some commieblocks and progress the game cause building sucks

Shader/texture pack?

>an endgame
If you want that you gotta resort to a pretty shitty mod that I'm not even sure if it's completely a tech mod. Draconic Evolution.

Don't know where to put this so I'll put it here

Minecraft doesn't have tanks and helicopters

hytale

Terraria is based

Wtf i love minecraft now!

UPDATE WHEN?!

wait WAIT I CHANGE MY VOTE TO TERRARIA

Terraria has better gameplay.

Terraria for when I want to play with one or two friends, Minecraft for when I want to play with a group of four or more people.

Based

both are excellent, but terraria playthroughs typically last for a week or two and you can play minecraft for a much longer time
terraria gets bonus points for the modding scene not being a complete shitshow

Attached: 1562688190777.png (396x417, 331K)

>you can play minecraft for a much longer time
unironically show me the way. i only ever end up playing for a week at most.

Explain?

mods or playing with friends helps a ton, aside from that setting some big project up is worthwhile, like clearing the water from an ocean temple completely or making a giant enderman farm

Terraria to play with close friends
Minecraft to play with Yea Forums reich bros

terraria is really fun, great gameplay, amazing bosses and items
but minecraft is endless, with or without the millions of mods

Minecraft>Terraria
Terraria mods (Besides Overhaul) are boring, and you do the same thing as vanilla.

Roblox

>muh comfy
please kill yourselves

>mfw i am a roblox millionare

terraria is more fun as a game but with less creativity, minecraft is roughly the opposite.

>anyone who choosen minecraft, kill yourselves stevefags.

Fpbp

>terraria gets bonus points for the modding scene not being a complete shitshow
???

Yeah that user is retarded.

terraria has a consistent update that people build their mods on, while in minecraft there are huge retard wars between what version your mods should be on, a lack of features of mods between versions, and forge keeps shitting itself
calamity is nothing compared to some of the shit minecraft mods can offer

>muh

How's DQ Builders 2? I've been binging on Stardew and while it's fun, I find it lacks the relaxing elements from Animal Crossing and Minecraft. It stresses you out a lot and I'm looking for a game like that while waiting for New Horizons. I WOULD play Runescape but I don't like PC/Mobile gaming
