also Streets of Rage's only advantage over FF is being able to jump over enemies after grabbing them to them flip the fuck out of them, but nothing beats Haggar, I can stay an entire playthrough piledriving people and still not get tired of it

I failed it by trying to jump over and tried jumping up to it in frustration. Turns out you can shove your way into it slowly until it clips you up so now thats how I always do it. Quicker than going around too.
Also the dam is trivial, you have 2 expendable turtles to smash through the seaweed.

Heres a thing you maybe didnt know for NES turtles. At half life or less 3/4 characters get a "power bonus" and their attacks will start hitting harder. Here is an example from gamefaqs for shredder.
3.7 SHREDDER
Leonardo: 23 hits. Power bonus: 16 hits.
Raphael: 18 hits. No Power bonus.
Michaelangelo: 23 hits. Power bonus: 14 hits.
Donatello: 11 hits. Power bonus: 10 hits.
