You know, I would like Dota more, but I am a sucker For gimmicks and Gimmick playstyles and sure all Dota heroes have their 'gimmick' but its basically the Difference between Fox and Wolf in Smash Bros, very few heroes actually have a viable Strategy to actually build around their gimmick and 90 percent of them feel like different Flavors of the exact same shit.

Its why I loved Heroes of the Storm before Blizzard Murdered it, in that the characters gimmicks were actual a central part of them and you could individually had much more unique characters than any other Moba

cm continues to get absurd buffs (she gets 20 armor when ulting now). I don't think puggles has been touched much in a while, and rubick is now a disable machine because null field got replaced with a passive that increases his spell amp and makes his disables last WAY longer. also now that every hero has an aghs, you can say his aghs has been buffed a lot since you're more likely to be able to get something good

Clinkz seems to have accepted his fate. Undying has several lines like "no heaven, no hell, only this"

With Rubick, his voice had quite a lot of filtering on it so as long as they get someone who could approximate the original then we could get more voice lines out of him.
But CK and PL are probably a lost cause since it seems like the filtering wasn't so heavy there.

That’s because you’re playing him wrong. If you’re a core, you get ahead and stay ahead through constant pressure. Either rotate for kills or set up a nest and never leave.

If you’re a support, you need a partner. Yeah, lategame you’re not popping nova and expecting kills. You pop nova/gale when bkbs get low or to force early ones. Wards to cancel blinks and get vision. Setting up a good gale with the talent gives you a shitload of wards that can trap people. He’s not a kill hero, he’s an annoyance hero. Hide in trees, do not walk up to a group and nova them like a dumbass

PURE SKILL is the best hero.

You're playing him wrong, late game pretty much eeveyrone but invoker evolves into right click.

K&Y is very strong on him. And Pike, since it gives you escape, stats, and easier to get sting on someone. Don’t buy into the Spirit Vessel meme. I know it seems good on paper, but god does it feel bad.

it isn't 2013 anymore when you could guarantee an early win by just smashing your opponent hard enough. even with comeback mechanics largely neutered, there's still a very high chance of your lead evaporating into nothingness, and now you have this shitty paper weight of a hero while you're heading into lategame. why bother picking this hero as a core when you could pick something like zeus (that can cope better with bkbs) or just pick something that doesn't give a fuck about BKBs in general.

you're talking about this like winning your lane translates to winning the game somehow. even then, there are plenty of supports you can pick that can do something meaningful without any magical christmasland ifs and buts. the fuck is the point of picking venomancer and running headfirst into the enemy team to "pop their bkbs early" and dying when you can just pick lion and instantly disable the enemy carry for like 7 seconds while also doing like 1k damage to him before he can even turn on his bkb.

being an "annoyance hero" isn't that useful when there are plenty of supports that straight up kill people or have actual utility beyond cancelling people's blinks sometimes

It’s the same general concept as AA for a support. You don’t disable reliably, bkb fucks you, but you have other ways of just fucking an enemy initiation or teamfight. I won’t argue there aren’t better alternatives, but it’s not completely untenable.

As for core Veno, I’m not saying you smash them early and instawin. There has to be a real core to take over when you fall off, but that’s true of many, many heroes. When I talked about support Veno, I didn’t mean just a partner for the lane, I meant for the game. Someone you enable with vision and slows, like an Ursa. Alternatively, no matter your role, you shut down most melee cores once bkbs run low. I also specifically said not to walk into a group and nova, don’t know why you’re acting like I said that. You pop nova once a team fight breaks out to force early BKBs and you do this safely. Or, if your team can fight through the BKB timer, you wait then pop nova.

He’s not a right clicking core and he’s not a nuking magic core. He’s somewhere in between, but definitely not useless. Regardless, I will agree he feels really, really bad when behind.
