Now the question is if I should form a team of these almighty shotas? What team did you go with for endgame Cyber Sleuth?

Lucemon is literally usable in each form, though Shadowlord dominates PvP.

My first endgame was one of the Ulforce meme teams but I started moving on to Marine Angiemon comps before the Shinegraymon meta.

Damn, I didn't even consider PVP. Is there still a large player base, or is this game mostly empty? I assumed the later just because of its age.

Mostly empty. Bamco even knew it would be which is why they added bots for trophy reasons.

... Capture the flag? How does that work?

you just run around capture flags, while they cap them back and with every flag taken you weaken the end boss. It's basic, but you pick a friend to join you and you get some light romance choices
