Anyway your prose sucks. It reads like an ESL wrote it, it's constantly unclear what's actually happening due to a lack of noun usage and plagued with short paragraphs used improperly. Especially bad is the second scene with Sheeva, where most paragraphs are unclear and two sentences long. Overall, disgustingly amateur and reads like a teenage girl's first attempt at smut.

Also, I hate the main character. He's such a mary sue, being the legendary hero who beats Shao Kahn in one of the worst-written fight scenes fucking ever. And multiple women fall in love with him instantly. It's poor writing.

But I'm always looking to improve, and a lot of what you said is fair. Also I go for blank slates for reader purposes, but that can still bother people.

The issue is he's not enough of a blank slate in the ways that it matters. He should either be utterly passive to events or a fully-fledged character vital to events, not personality-less but vital to events.
