Why even max anything out if it's gonna be running at NES framerates?

>3600

Nice job obsoleting yourself when PS5/XB2 comes out with 8 Zen 2 cores.

>Ryzen
>Not 3-4k
>not allways maxed

Jajajajajajajajajajajajaja

>8cores 3ghz
>chips not good enough to sell
>playstation
Y'all clowns said that shit when I had a 4core I7 and the PS4 was getting a 8 core. You stupid fucks don't understand shit about IPC or how less faster cores could possibly beat more slower cores

PS4 had shitty 4 "module" chips with crap IPC and even worse power efficiency so they had to run at 2GHz.

IPC in Zen 2 is significantly higher, it'll have 8 proper cores, and will probably run at around 3GHz since even a 4GHz Ryzen 7 only has a 65w TDP and voltage required for a given clock rises exponentially with frequency.

>Got a 1440p monitor at 120 FPS.
>Can't tell for the life of me the difference between 60 fps and 144 fps
Is this normal? is there any gifs or whatever that show the difference?

Did you set your display adapter to display at 120hz in Windows?

When you activate more cores they drop the voltage.

It's subtle play a game for awhile at 144hz change it 60hz and you'll notice all the "ghosting" that motion around objects creates. It's also much nicer if you're turning alot of corners in a game too

move your mouse around in circles
if you can't see the difference your eyes are defective

Wrong bud. Doom 120fps maxed out at 1440p ez, division 2 ultra settings 60+ fps at 1440p, mh:w maxed out(without shitty fog filter) 90+fps 1440p, horizon 4 -120fps maxed out at 1440p

Its like you know...how my pc runs without owning it. Is that the power of internet morons?

Periodic reminder that NVME SSDs do not increase load times for video games because the bottleneck comes in the form of asset decompression and shader compilation, which is CPU limited.

so use a SATA SSD then?

Sorry, I meant to say 144Hz monitor but yeah it is at 143Hz

Turn the settings down why give up 144 high for Ultra 60

>better CPU
>better SSD
Better load times forever

My monitor only goes up to 120 with gsync. I dont mind eye candy for some games at 60fps. If its shooters or racing I go all in

i've got an nvme and a sata ssd. did some tests with loading various games and the difference was so small it could be classified as margin of error.

Because there is no difference:

For gaming and OS use a SATA and NVMe SSD are literally the same, the only times NVMe makes a difference is in CAD, Editing, server and enterprise use.

What about launching applications and file transfers you mong. 3gbs is alot faster than 500mbs. That alone makes NVME worth it. Even better if you already had a 500gb sata SSD then you can get a 70$ 500gb NVME as your boot drive then have that whole data SSD just for your games

>He cant launch photoshop in 3 sec
>He cant boot windows in 5 sec

What monitor are you doing 1440p 120 on?

I can though.

Still not worth it honestly.
1TB SATA is $80-100 but NVMe is way too expensive for not much.

>can boot PS in 3 secs
>still slow even with files on SSD because the software itself is the fucking shits

You can get a 1TB NVMe for under $100, good ones too.

>mfw still can't figure out out anything involving PCs and lately have just been saving up for a tier from Logical Increments instead of trying to figure out what is compatible because it's too hard for my boomer brain to handle.
>mfw Cyberpunk might not even be that good and I'll have spent this much money for nothing other than letting me load images from my 400 gb meme folder slightly faster

>cyberpunk
you really fucked up my man

Acer predator 34p, forgot to add its ultrawide,so imactually pushing more than 2k

My 500gb SSD is PCIE 3.0 4X gets reads of 3gbs and writes of 2.2gbs and was 70$ my 500gb sata SSD from like 3 years ago? Like 200$ really can't complain when new tech surpasses the old tech in all aspects

It and Bannerlord are the only games I'm looking forward to for 2020, my dude.
If Bannerlord even fucking releases then

Is it worth getting a small nvme drive for my OS?

What about RDR2?

test ufo?

Not literally the same.
Practically similar.

Ayup I'm real excited to look at horse nuts at 4K

Maybe. I fucking love westerns, but I think the first one had a bit more charm, especially with the Strange Man missions. That shit was so cash money. Ain't sure if RDR2 has anything like that.

1440p144hz is patrician taste.
