Removing pokemon will help balance the game

>Removing pokemon will help balance the game
>Ferrothorn and toxapex are in
So about that...

I get the complaint but

>using singles for "official balance"

>singles competitive after DPPt
>good

I don't know shit about competitive Pokemon what's the problem with these two?

Compfags hate stalling strats

Nothing really, they're hardly the most annoying of the defensive Pokemon. Ferrothorn has a quadruple weakness for fuck's sake.

Doubles suck

Didn’t Ferrothorn become tolerable after the Steel nerf?

Was gonna say this, I run monotype flying in OU and my fucking XATU shits on this thing because flamethrower

Who gives a fuck about anything singles? It's what the whole game is based around.

Official Nintendo tournies are dubs for some dumb reason

The whole game is based around singles BECAUSE it sucks.

I hate how VGC warped a whole legion of players into thinking that doubles were the de facto way to play against people. Doubles is cancer as long as things like Rock Slide and Intimidate exist.

Can't we have something in-between?

>balance the game

Since when have Game Freak EVER cared about balance? You honestly believed that?

>A bastardised representation of a video game series done by pathetic manchildren with no respect for the games themselves but are too shit to play anything else
>representative of the official competitive scene
There's your problem

nope because it will sell millions even if no effort was put in.

>genies and intimidate
>teams being all the same

Damn now I see...being official makes it....automatically good....the 500 IQ take

When has GF ever cared about the technical aspect? They literally made a pokemon just to show off the fact you could turn your 3DS upside down.

>ferrothorn
>stall

But doubles is the de facto way to play against people by virtue of being able to use every single move and ability in it compared to singles.

Annoying stall Pokemon with tons of resistances, easy health recovery, and tons of utility in setting up entry hazards and spreading status ailments; a pair of "does everything" defensive Pokemon who also work fantastically together.

Why is a nigger hanging out with japs?

>Pex Scalds your answer on its way in

>They literally made a pokemon just to show off the fact you could turn your 3DS upside down.
Which mon was that?

Their argument for removing more than half of the Pokemon was to fix comp which is untrue since they introduced a new stall tactic, and because they wanted Creatures inc to reanimate, retexture and remodel, all the Pokemon which is also untrue since every model is the same from the 3DS version with them using their standard animations for everything.

Celesteela and Toxapex are a worse duo, why they gave Celesteela Leech Seed I will never know

Rotation should be the competitive mode desu

>worrying about balance
The community creates tiers and vgc places restrictions to deal with that. It's literally a non-issue unless you're some kind of insane child that trys to battle competitively in wifi battles.

Most people want them to go back to singles.

ITO IZZU BARANSU

She's a metal that acts like a plant.

that's what the post game arenas were for.

Ultra beasts are stupid and a huge mistake

yeah but it's the official meta

>warped

>Rotom confirmed to be back with a new form
>all good grass mons are gone
>Dragons are utter shit and no Z-moves cripples a certain viable dragon
A HERE WE GO A HERE WE GO

Bruh, if that leak about what causes Dynamax is real, then they haven't stopped making Beasts.

*all good offensive grass mons

>you can't use Rotom for battle in Gen 7
>implying it won't be same for Gen 8
user...

How to fix the balance
>Abilities that would normally effect everyone now only effect the Pokemon across from said Pokemon
>moves that hit more than one Pokemon can hit one and still miss the other
>make direct counters to stall teams

Still pretty autistic considering they expect you to do 100 battle win streaks on top of creating crazy teams that will hax you and kill your streak without a single mistake on your part. Maybe if they had any form of checkpoint, but if I lose multiple hours of progress to some random crazy bullshit gimmick like sheer cold or something I'm not gonna continue.

>>single-player is laughably easy
>>multiplayer is incredibly autistic
>Can't we have something in-between?

We had the Gym Leader rematches with stronger pokemon and smarter AI, but Gamefreak got rid of that.
We had Battle Tents, but Gamefreak got rid of that.
We had the Battle Frontier, but Gamefreak got rid of that.
We had the Survival Area, but Gamefreak got rid of that.
We had the Battle Subway, but Gamefreak got rid of that.
We had the Pokemon World Tournament, but Gamefreak got rid of that.

Ferrothorn is comfy as fuck in single player. It's satisfying seeing the enemy take more damage than you from a physical attack.

Not that user but, what is the leak about? If that's true,
>they keep these shitty notPokemon around
>dropped Megas and Z-moves for a mechanic that is just them resizing the model, unless the Pokemon is enough of a special snowflake to get their own form like Pikachu guaranteed will
It makes me a little upsetti. I was honestly surprised as hell to see that they bothered to keep megas for more than one gen, given Gamefreak's track record to remove literally anything fun. But of course they went right ahead and did it anyway.

Is skarmbliss still a thing?

Pic related.

>introduced a new stall tactic
whats this?

Since it's safe to assume Chansey is coming back due to gen1tism, and Corviknight is going to replace Skarmory, yeah it'll still be a thing.

>We had the Pokemon World Tournament, but Gamefreak got rid of that.
That was the best one. Not an insane time sink, just short sweet tourneys with the best trainers in the series, and very replayable because of the variety.

Oh sorry, I meant more of do people still use it, but I guess you answered that question too

But Gardevoir has an anti-paizuri horn

You can use a move when Dynamaxed that keep you protected from all attacks for 3 turns.

New evos are always nice and I'm curious about gigant pikachu and lapras just to see their designs. Farfetchd could definitely use an evo, but as always the new content is gonna be focused on gen 1 and then dropped by next gen. Gens 2-7 will probably get the remaining 5% of the new forms and evos once they're done pandering to gen 1.

That sounds fucking awful. Can the user move during the remaining two turns?

yes

>:(

I do agree, to some extent.
It's why I prefer to play ~10 hour games like Uncharted these days.
But to use that as an excuse to scalpel games that obviously should have been longer is a pretty pathetic.
