Is Valve insane? Why this bullshit instead of something like tabbed browsing?

Because people were bitching about how useless or tedious queues were for finding new games so they fixed that.

No matter what they did you would find a reason to bitch.

Because not every single developer at valve is going to do the same shit. Do you think that every single person on the Steam development end is going to work on bug fixes? They want new feature while working on bug fixes.

People at valve get bonuses for doing new stuff, so upkeep is actively disincentivized compared to adding pointless new fluff features

Valve hasn't added any new feature or rehash old one that hasn't been a colossal failure in years.

The new DLC view? Completely worthless.

Call me when they decide to use more than half of my monitor's width. I feel like I'm using a website made in fucking mid 90s.

Personally I think the new recommender is a vast improvement.

the automatic show wasn't bad but it should only pick out gameplay videos and instead of showing 4 small screens at once show one big one with back to back gameplay videos
the recommender is a step in the right direction because clicking queues is boring as hell, it needs many more more options though.
