If you want a decent dungeon crawler RPG looter, it's bretty gud. Nothing exceptional, nothing terrible.

It's okay. It was made by the same devs as Diablo 2 but they missed a lot of what made D2 great. The itemisation is shit, 99999 different types of potions are shit, monster balance doesn't even pretend to exist and the 3 classes are one-dimensional.
It's pretty comfy if you're playing it blind for one run though. Just don't start on the highest difficulty or you'll regret it by midgame.

TL1 is very similar to Diablo 1.

I had a great time playing TL1, TL2 was also good, but more open.

It's possibly the worst ARPG I have ever played. Ultra bland and featured this awful artstyle League of Legends popularized.

Play Grim Dawn or Path of Exile.

grim dawn is super slow, and path of Exile is too grindy and if you fuck up on your build, on the FUCKHUGE build tree, you are fucked permanently.

Torchlight 2 is better than Diablo 3, or at least it used to be.
Torchlight 1 is ok.

Torchlight 1 is mediocre and you can pirate it even without the Epic Spyware store. So... no.

It's devoid of any challenge even on the highest skill setting up until the final boss which is nothing but a bloated damage sponge.

It's fantastic. Or at least it was years ago when I played it on a complete whim and got entirely sucked into it.

The first Torchlight was really bland and boring, not worth your time even at the price of free.

i unironically enjoyed it way more than torchlight 2 which is better on paper.

2 is better but should only be obtained on steam to make mod installation easier. 1 is really basic. There are better ARPGs.
