Certain aspects of Zero Suit are a symptom of Japan not knowing what to do with the character. Obviously Samus can exist in a state in which she lacks her suit, and by all means we should be able to see how well she performs when at such a disadvantage. It's good to see why the Hero deserves the suit in the first place. The problem arises because the Japanese are fundamentally incapable of divorcing femininity from sex appeal. So the moment Samus is in a condition in which her sex is readily apparent, they are culturally obligated to make her spank fodder. Something which fundamentally goes rather heavily against the darker and more serious tones the series has been developing since very early in it's conception. Worse yet, now that her feminity is a known aspect of her character, the Japanese force that to bleed into the traits and behaviors of the armored juggernaut Samus, so now we have this super hero, trained since childhood to slay evil, having nervous break downs and throwing up on herself because Ridley shows up.

For example, in a fighting game a female character such as pic related may be a soldier capable of tearing a big guy appart, but her clothes will be clearly different from the male characters, her voice will be soft and her body language, despite that of a soldier, will also be very feminine.
I call this proccess masculine competence with feminine strenght. Strenght meaning that the strenght of the character is the juxtaposition of its masculine competence with its feminine qualities.
Westerners used to think like this as well, which can be clearly seem in older games.

Metroid should be darker and serious, but in terms of gameplay. The game should be more challenging, asking the player to think harder and maybe think outside the box. Story-wise, tone isn't as important. At this point Samus has fought the equivalent of clowns with hyper advanced technology who inject glowing blue ultra-cancer into their veins to become mutants. At this point it almost becomes a parody of itself, but it works for fun videogamey stuff. You know that user who spams TUBES images? I find those images funny because they're not even the craziest part about the space pirates. These guys are probably the height of video game villainy, in that their search for results leads to great game moments, from the karate pirates from Super Metroid, to the glowing giant goliath omega pirate, to pirates literally snorting phazon for extra science. And that's what Other M failed in. It tried making the series into a character study, like this was a damn movie.

Thing that gets me is how often the toughest/most badass female has the biggest breasts. That's not always the case mind, but it does tend to be the case that large breasts were once associated with maturity, and that mature women tended to be cooler and more capable.

Just look at Tomb Raider. Old Lara had bigger breasts and was sexy, confident and adventurous, using pistols as her main weapons. By comparison, new Lara has smaller breasts and is more 'cute', lacks the confidence original Lara had and is more 'vulnerable', and uses a fucking bow.

Samus fits this as well. If nothing else we can get that she's confident but not cocky, cool-headed and very much capable on her own. And as such, she typically has above-average breasts, among other feminine qualities that many men would find sexy. Mixed feelings about ZSS, I like seeing Samus outside of her suit but the Zero Suit in general is pretty bad looking and doesn't even look as Samus-y as her other Smash alt costumes anyway.

fuck that, HL2 cutscenes suck because they're unskippable. They're engaging the first time around and then never again.

Yeah, sure, cutscenes should be skippable. And tutorials should be optional or subtle, and in general games should be more game than movie.

HL2 had an okay idea, but it similarly led to moments where you're stuck in an area and can't proceed until the story says so. Sure you have control, but you're essentially shackled to the NPCs until they're done.

Latex is a pain in the ass, you have to lube yourself up / cover yourself in talcum powder to get into it, it's kinda sensitive to becoming too dry, and way more prone to tearing if you're not super careful with it, unless it's so thick you can barely move. Not to mention it doesn't breath, at all. Makes it kinda difficult to wear for extended periods to a convention or the like.
There's a reason zentai's are so popular (price has something to do with that as well, though that's probably also a "More popular / more's made / it can be cheaper"), shame in many cases latex just looks so much better.
