99% of rainworld

Saint Denis in RDR2. Visiting this place always fucking sucks because riding the horse around is such a pain in the ass.

just finished witcher 1 a couple days ago, chapter 2 is a clusterfuck but i enjoyed everything else

witcher 2 and 3 are still better though

nah, the last part with the wheatfields and the lady of the lake is pretty damn good.

the problem with the other areas is the awful gameplay design. They didn't think about level design at all. So you're just running around, often back and forth, accomplishing tedious nonsense. Some things are even in the levels to fuck you up, to make you have to walk around shit or just stop your sprint. It's beyond annoying, it's fucking awful.

W2 had the exact same problems but was upgraded euro jank. W3 had the best level design by far. In fact, it's one of the better ones across the industry imo.

Dropped it right here after dropping it twice at the intro chapter.
The game is just not fun and not for me.

In terms of discomfort this place fucked me up

I didn't understand the hate against the swamp. I hated having to keep going back between the city and the swamp more than the actual swamp itself.

Any volcano/lava level

Sewer levels, swamp/bog zones, generic caves. There's more that I just can't think of. Oh and timed missions/games. Too stressful. This is why I couldn't enjoy Majora's Mask or the dead rising games.

Saint Denis is unpleasant in an old dirty city sense, Guarma was just a pain in my fucking ass
I'm on my second playthrough and just reached it again. Hearing Arthur cough is much more worrying now.

i liked the swamp but i also like swamp and lava/volcanic levels

>dude what if you just couldn't see 99% of the screen lmao

Any sewer level, especially in Dead Cells
>oh hey you fell in a shit puddle for .5 seconds
>take 2 poison damage
>say goodbye to that huge streak you were on and any rewards you may have gotten from it
>the second sewer level cranks this up to 11 with those mushroom fucks

Deepnest is great, getting trapped in it is such an experience
wish there was a boss at the very end, though

when will americans finally die?

As a rule I tend to hate swamp levels but I really loved blight town in dark souls. I think it is because once you actually understand blight town navigating it becomes easy and you can just enjoy the ambient misery of the place. The swamp in The Witcher 1 is almost the opposite, even when you fully understand the location of everything and what you have to do it is plagued with barriers and invisible walls that force you to back track two thirds across the map to get to places that you were physically close to otherwise.
