There won't be any more Phoenix Wright games
>IMPLYING
There will be at least 3 more, they keep releasing them on a regular basis.
Maya is old and busted.
Rayfa is cute but her English voice doesn't fit her at all
Womanchild Maya was the worst thing about AA6.
Fuck AA6.
What's the proper order after the first three? Apollo Justice then Ace Attorney Investigations?
trilogy maya is so cute I want to pat her head
Investigations can be played right after the trilogy, then DD then Spirit of Justice
pitslut
Just admit it you also wanted to hug her
C-Cute.
I want to ace her attorneys
Release order, there's a couple of references to Apollo Justice in Investigations 1.
Thoughts on Dual Destinies? I'm on Case 5 right now.
Not that many to recall, plus they don't really impact the story or gameplay much.
It has ups and downs, honestly I wish the series followed the Investigations 2 formula and made all the cases related to each other.
Does anyone wish they'd bridge some of the concepts from the Investigations games into the new era? There's only like one thing, that being Debeste and the Themis Legal Academy uniform. It would be nice to have a nod to Kay or Shields.
As far as Capcom goes, the investigations game never existed. Sadly probably no new games will be released either, which is sad, because almost everyone who has played Investigations 2 and likes the series claims it's the absolute best.
I don't believe the Investigations games will be acknowledged, but there will be new games; the series has just enough popularity for it, and I hear the trilogy did well on the Switch. It's just a matter of when.
Spirit of Justice was kino. Definitely my favorite entry in the series.
SoJ I've heard was a bit of a controversial game. Like, for every case except the first one, I've heard people saying that they either loved it or hate it. Except Time Traveler, people didn't really like that one. I've also seen some people stating that Turnabout Revolution was so full of plot holes and butchered Wright's character in the civil trial.
Rayfa PITma Khura'in
Gentlemen, how can AA7 be a good game that's free from the bloated state of the two other nu-AA games?
Nickel Samurai or The Jammin' Ninja?
Isn't that kind of a dumb thing for Edgeworth to ask Gumshoe being who they are?
Apollo's wife is so cute
TGS AA7 reveal please
Or if you want to drown us with more ports atleast put the 3DS games on console
>bloated state
It was only really DD that was all over the place
SoJ segmented them properly and gives you better quality time with the characters
I'm not going to buy a Switch for AA7.
But they're already available on Android and iOS.
SoJ was a step in the right direction. They just need to refine it more.
Very cute.
>Phoenix being there for marketability and nothing else
>Maya, despite being played up in the trailer, does nothing but get arrested/kidnapped (again)
>Apollo being thrusted into the main character role and having more of his cheesy backstory exposed (despite there being no resolution to the whole "stepbrother to Trucy" thing)
>Athena also being there and doing nothing besides a trial-only filler case
>Another new prosecutor who has to intertwine into a protagonist's backstory somehow, only to be dumped for another one for the next game and not getting a satisfying enough arc (rip Klavier)
It was just trying to be so many things all at once whereas the best AA games are focused experiences. T&T deals with Wright overcoming his mentor and resolving past conflicts once and for all. AAI2 deals with Edgeworth and what being a prosecutor truly means to him. It's hard to grasp a concrete theme from SoJ when there's three main characters going at it, characters thrust into the limelight with no other reason to be there besides fanservice,
If AA7 does happen, I just want them to pick a protag and stick to them. Let Athena grow into her own budding lawyer and moving past her, well, past. Let Apollo stake his claim in a country unfamiliar with traditional legal systems. No clue what they could do with Phoenix now, but perhaps make him realize how to be the best mentor he can to his subordinates. And spice up the gameplay a bit so the games aren't always the same formula since T&T.
shit my post is a bit incomplete but I'm too tired to correct it. tl;dr, focus on a smaller cast of characters, resolve arcs in a satisfying way, stop trying to do everything at once and stop lugging in old characters without any other reason besides fanservice
>English voice
She says like three lines
They need new characters to grow and develop
New cases and scenarios that are different from the norm, Ace Attorney needs to take some risks with their next title to get people interested in the series again
will this game ever have voice acting. would that make it too expensive. also, am i the only one who wants voice acting.
Why, Nickel Samurai, of course. Matt Engarde is too based.
It's Gumshoe asking Edgeworth, check the dialogue again.
Oops I misread.
Where's Pablo? I want my Professor Layton fix.
>And spice up the gameplay a bit so the games aren't always the same formula since T&T.
Which is a more refined formula from JFA.
Honestly I'd like if they actually went with the underground court theme from the concepts of SoJ. But have Apollo fight through the corruption and develop those characters more.
TIE ME UP APOLLO
I can't believe I have to wait until September for potential AA7 news, FUCK.
I want to play them on a TV
Should've said structurally, really. Since T&T, the games have been structured like:
>Case 1: Case that, while minor, kickstarts the rest of the game's plotlines
>Case 2: Unrelated filler case
>Case 3: Filler case, but establishes central theme for the game
>Case 4: Trial-only case that may or may not lead into the events of the final case
>Case 5: Culmination of characters arcs and themes
And in the case of DD and SoJ
>Case 6: Filler case
I'd prefer more episodes in general of varying lengths. Like, you could have several trial-only cases, and maybe a few bigger investigation/trial/investigation/trial ones. It's all just kinda felt samey.
I do want the actual "gameplay" to be spiced up some too. Bring back the freeform investigations scene of Investigations, maybe even with some cool camera options to closely investigate shit and to look at Athena's ass. I know it's primarily a visual novel, but if it was a bit more like your standard mystery game, that'd be nice. Oh, and a notepad feature would be cool, just to write down thoughts and connect evidence/profiles and whatnot.
Again, your complaints only apply to DD
SoJ only brought characters to help the current situation and segmented then properly
It's very good and doesn't get enough credit.
How would you improve AA in general?
I'm glad that they've consistently improved evidence gathering, but I do want them to make the game harder in that respect. Like you miss certain evidence and it alters how the case plays out.
>Case 2 unrelated filler case
Did you even play SoJ
It's been done.
SoJ forever loses a point for me because they didn’t remix the AA4 Pursuit for the ending of Case 5
the dub is really bad though, have you tried to listen to those trailers or anime cutscenes? it's almost 90s tier in how stilted the dialogue and delivery are.
Branching paths based on whether or not you have certain evidence would do a lot to improve replayability, seeing as there's no reason to play the games more than once as they are
I put up with it because Sam Riegel is based
by dub do you mean the english dub? I've seen the japanese trailers and that's what made me wish this game had voice acting in the first place.
Woulds be pretty awesome if you could 'miss' evidence, however that would also make it hard as fuck at times and it would need a lot of branching which would make the development even longer.
Multiple endings would be based if done right.
Athena's case was nothing but filler, granted I wanted to play it anyway just because I like her more than Apollo, however the case was pretty forgettable, would have been cooler if she actually had some involvement in Turnabout Revolution desu senpai
>Edgeworth is secretly a huge steel samurai fan
why do I enjoy this fact so much
I've played through every AA game and I want more. I hear there are fan games out there, any of them worth going through or are they all garbage?
Making Maya leave was a mistake, should have added her on Apollo justice as a minor character at least. Maya coming back was the best thing to happen to the franchise.
Have you even played The Great Ace Attorney user?
Okay sure but why should shit be "segmented" anyways? Can't we just have a bunch of cases that weave into the narrative and not have everything split up and minorly resolved?
Case 2 of SoJ was the best case in the entire game, but it didn't contribute much to the rest of the game's Khurain'ese legal-reformation arc. It was just a nice continuation of the Gramarye plotline, which was great and I loved it, but again, unrelated to the rest of the game, unless I'm misremembering something.
As I chatted about in , non-point-and-click investigation scenes would be great. Maybe I just want to walk around Japanifornia and chat up some people, to gather evidences on cases. Maybe it could have a real-time aspect to it where you have to make a case for your client in a limited amount of time, else you could get multiple endings, or you could get graded on your performance in trials. Of course, a lot of this would require a way bigger team than Ace Attorney already has, but efforts to make the games seem less linear would be well-appreciated.
Random idea just popped into my head: Ace Attorney VR where you stand aside a courtroom desk and play as various courtroom roles and can voicechat in real time. If you're playing a character like Godot you can toss coffee at your opponent and the other guy can dodge. Like Ace Attorney Online but way more shitposty.
>Maya coming back was the best thing to happen in the franchise
Yes she is cute and I love her but she only really serves as a plot device in SoJ and was pretty much a time capsule of her trilogy self. Gumshoe will probably come back in AA7 and be the exact same as he was in the trilogy/AJ. I just want them to make it look like time passed for these older characters; it's been more than seven years for many of them.
No, the translation for the first one is out but a few people here told me to wait until the second one was also translated because the story was a bit shit without the second part
Will Larry return?
I only come in these threads to masturbate to Phoenix's 11 inch lawyer dong and to grab reaction images.
Thanks for being based
He already did in the DLC case of SoJ. I haven't actually played it but I'm not sure if I should.
I need some more AA reaction images, too. all I have are some sprite animations and Smash shit.
Every point you listed is why I'm loving The Great Ace Attorney so far
>New characters in a new setting, so no bloat
>The story is really only about one thing (A fledgling attorney trying to make sense of a foreign legal system)
>The main characters actually grow and develop over the course of the cases, and will readily draw on pre-established emotional beats, so nothing is really "filler"
>Every system has been tweaked and revamped, mostly for the better
>The animations are godly, especially compared to earlier games
The only real downside is only part 1 is translated, and part 1 ends on a cliffhanger. Which sucks.
But as a game, this is the Sequel-ass-sequel I was hoping for. It is to AA6 what Megaman X was to Megaman 5
kek what a bitch
Nah, it's actually really good.
It just ends on a cliff-hanger, is all.
>Phoenix's Final Smash is all the lawyers yelling 'Objection' in the background, each of their fingers hitting anything close
Please Jewntendo make this happen
>I haven't actually played it
It's okay. Not great.
Make investigation segments more interesting. Like adding more light puzzles, or needing to ask the right questions to witnesses rather then selecting all the dialogue boxes. Make it more like a Point and click game. You can't do much to change the gameplay of the courtroom segments as they're the meat of the game, but you could be willing to throw more curveballs that change how you see the case, like the last case of JFA.
How good is Phoenix in bed? Asking for a friend
Shut up Iris.
Think about it, Iris stayed with him that long despite how much of a bitch he was. There had to have been a reason for it
They made the right decision with sidelining Phoenix. His time is done and if his only use is to sell the game then I guess he can take a few cases but keep him away from the main plot. Focusing on Apollo and Athena is the right way. Give them their final conclusion on the next game and start a blank slate for AA8.
And for fuck sake, get rid of Phoenix's cast. It was nice to see what they were doing but the novelty is gone now they're baggage that needs to be cleaned.
Been reading on criminal psychology. Some real cases have 'expert witnesses' would be pretty based to have a game mechanic where you actually have to testify, but each testimony line would have to be perfect as to avoid hate from the judge.
Any relative of Athena's would fit perfectly in that role.
More importantly, how tight is Maya's pussy?
Phoenix really seems like he has the smallest cock in the world, but i bet he has an absolute monster that he practically has to tape down every morning. Maya will do that to you.
I was thinking Thought Route instead, considering it's the final gambit in the newer games. If Edgeworth is an echo, it could be swapped with Logic Chess instead.
If you want a bunch of lawyers cameoing and objecting, that'd be a perfect feature in the backroom of a courtroom stage. You'd get random attorneys on both sides and they'd be having random arguments, and the judge would slam his gavel to quell the uproar of the gallery, causing a POW Block-type effect to occur.
He starts a bit slow, steady and awkward, but as he thrusts and gets more into it, he becomes an absolute sex god. He's not a Turnabout King in just the courtroom.
Y'know, as fanboy-ish as it may seem, I don't mind the cameos. I just want them to be integrated well into the story. The Imprisoned Turnabout in AAI2 was a great example of this, with Sahwit and the nods to other culprits in the AA series; they weren't overtly shown and celebrated.
You think Phoenix and Mia ever...?
Phoenix and Mia didn't.
Mia and Diego went at it like rabbits. What kind of mentor would call his protege "kitten" if he isn't boning her?
WHERE IS PABLO
WHERE IS LAWFULDICKISH
WHERE IS ANYBODY THAT CAN FILL IN FOR THEM
I WANT A FUCKING AAI2 STREAM TO HAPPEN THIS CENTURY
>Hi, I'm Maya. It's been ten years since I saw Nick last. I'm 29 now. How have I changed? How has our relationship evolved? What have I been doing for the last ten years? Where has my life taken me? What impact will this have on the classic Phoenix/Maya dynamic?
>Literally none whatsoever. I'm literally exactly the same character, right on down to the exact same animations.
Kek that made me lol so hard. I can imagine Grossberg freaking out about it
Also it's borderline fan-wide head canon that Phoenix will marry Maya, EVENTUALLY
The weird hispanic sexual predator kind
What should've been done with her?
So something where you have to choose the best lines to convey the right information to the judge and respond to any questions the prosecution has. Just picking the lines as they come up would be easy and boring, so something more of fill in the blanks and patch them together would work.
So something like. "We know the witness was not at the scene because of _____ which means that this piece of evidence is wrong and means ______. Think of mad libs.
>He starts a bit slow, steady and awkward, but as he thrusts and gets more into it, he becomes an absolute sex god. He's not a Turnabout King in just the courtroom.
C-Cute
>Also it's borderline fan-wide head canon that Phoenix will marry Maya, EVENTUALLY
>Iris returns for extra drama
What characters would you want to return down the line?
Hardmode: no Gumshoe.
DO YOU LIKE EVIDENCE SHULK?
DO YOU LOVE PROOF DUNBAN?
THEN PROVE I DROPPED MY GLASSES AT THE CRIME SCENE. HAHA, YOU CAN'T PROVE IT!
>Iris returns for extra drama
Would shit bricks if they pull that off.
Even better if Dahlia joins the party somehow
Did Maya and Phoenix get married yet?
>Iris walks in on Phoenix and Maya on what is a heavily implied sex scene
I honestly have no idea, but there's a ton of potential, and they explored exactly none of it.
Also, that final case of AA6 was a huge fucking letdown
Here's the founder of Kurain. She died a thousand years ago under mysterious circumstances. Are we going to have an absolue fucking blowout of a Grand Finale, completely upending what Kurain is and the nature of spirit mediums by solving a thousand year old murder? FUCK NO! Have an obviously generic evil queen.
>cries and runs off then Phoenix runs after Iris
>when Phoenix catches up with Iris a loud "MR. NICK! HOW DARE YOU?" is heard
>a 20-something years old Pearl Fey slaps Phoenix
youtube.com
Not gonna happen, EVER, but one can dream. She's like Franziska done RIGHT.
>Fan name
>Trash character
The fact she didn't get her comeuppance for being an obstructionist bitch was trash because 'mum kid'
youtube.com
Never ever coming back, unfortunately
Protip:
She's the only character in the ENTIRE FRANCHISE aside from Von Karma Edgeworth has genuine intellectual respect for, she's literally the most clever character aside from that game and she's stuck in said side story
I remember being “spoiled” and told that Debeste was the mastermind of AAI2
The last case and case 4 was one hell of a ride knowing that
>Write a super awesome mary sue-ish character
She deserves her fate and never to be recognized by the mainline games.
We've had four games with Ema and none with her sister since the first game. Just have the game show her re-introduction into practicing law under Blackquill's tutelage as she struggles with the same problem Phoenix did in Apollo Justice: returning to practice law after committing unlawful actions. Or make her a defense attorney since she didn't want anyone to suffer the same fate she did as a prosecutor.
FUCK YOU, she was awesome, she could easily replace Ziska and no one would give a shit because she's actually clever, unlike Ziska.
Duuude, I have been waiting for her to come back, but I doubt they will ever show her, after all she's not even popular in Japan. But then again Japan has shit taste.
Will this series ever get a doujin better than Love Junkie
She was a disgusting mary sue, I would be so happy if investigations was made non canon.
>tfw no Mia game with Lana as the main prosecutor
>brainlet
AA7
>big brain
DGS3
>genius brain
AAI3
>ascended brain
Mia Fey: Ace Attorney
>godlike brain
Marvin Grossberg: Ace Attorney
>writing fanfic with Lana and Gant as the main protagonists
>Plot revolves around dismatling a Yakuza organization and the reason why they were given a 'legendary' status
>Using data and character from the main series along with Investigations
>Spirit of Justice is released and my whole rationale behind Apollo's family tree is ruined
Why even bother?
Post it. Apollo's backstory is pretty shit, anyways
I wanna know more user. That sounds interesting.
nice reddit meme
Cute
Lana is friends with Mia because they both studied together. Gant is nothing but a rookie policeman not yet an officer. The plot revolves around a Yakuza organization which not only has infiltrated members in the local police, but also has a very corrupt defense attorney who can turn tables around by sheer manipulation and bribery.
They have so much control over the town that they have become like the de facto law.
However one of the girls that they kidnapped happened to know Mia, and somehow manages to escape. Mia had spoken to her about Lana, and because she's unable to find Mia, she decides to contact Lana.
It is then that the cases start, where Lana and Gant start untangling the inner workings of the organization. Each case being increasingly more difficult, because the lawyer becomes increasingly more aggressive with his manipulation tactics.
An underlying explanation of the whole concept of Japanifornia, as well as several side characters such as Phoebe Cykes, were in the works. Phoebe Cykes would be Athena's aunt, and unlike her, a criminal psychologist.
The development of the Hawthorne bloodline and the related conflicts would also be explained in greater detail, as well as the true identity of Fulbright. I don't have it written in it's entirety, I rage-quit on it because I wanted to involve Apollo and Lamiroir
In case anons have an interest in the idea, we can try taking this to another board to write out the whole story in greater depth.
