>I-frames locked behind a skill >shitty plot >quantity over quality for bosses >some areas literally look like they are straight out of n64 >horrible hitboxes >poor level design >analog deadzones >trash movement
How do dark souls 2 fanboys still defend this? Literally any other souls borne game is better.
Your literal first line shows you're a shitter embarrassment who hsould only play 3
Anthony Howard
So I shouldn’t play this game if I already have remastered and 3?
Ayden Ortiz
found the shieldfag
Logan Richardson
Please ignore people who think dark souls games should be easy like op, 2 is the only challenging entry in the series except for demon's souls. Plus it's a masterpiece. Just don't play scholar of the worst sin. Original dks2 is a masterpiece and scholar is the reason it has such a bad reputation, it literally ruined everything.
what differences are there between the original and sotfs?
Joshua Thomas
two fucking sucks, just go play the first one or demon souls
Jackson Parker
Imagine having such a normie opinion
Oliver Morgan
Imagine being such a contrarian dipshit you play dark souls two just to stand out
Liam Miller
>using term normie unironically
Bentley James
a whole buncha of shit its better to just look up a changelog
William Walker
DS1> I-frames locked behind a ring dropped by a ninja. DS3> I-frames locked behind weapon category.

DS1> Trash movement DS3> Trash movement
How do you dark souls cock worshippers defend this?
Bloodbourne has wheelchair users with machine guns.
Sekiro has dragons in the sky.
All are twelve year old male wetdreams.
You cannot defend any of it.
BUT MUH DRAGENS IN DA SKY N MUH KATANAS.
Colton Russell
even in vanillia 2 lets you buy unlimited quick use healing items for cheap after beating the first area and has a ring in the very first area that gives the mace (which does massive bonus damage for some reason) enough poise damage to stunlock 90% of enemies in the game
Aiden Young
I'm bored and despite DS2 being the worst game in the series, I'm going to give it another shot.
Quick, someone give me a fun build to play. Last time I played was when SOTFS came out and I just did a fairly typical melee quality build. Something interesting, please.
>Please ignore people who think dark souls games should be easy like op is there any reason they shouldn't be? "prepare to die" was a shitty meme made by namco the publisher, not the devs
Jace Bennett
>>I-frames locked behind a skill Am I the only one who think it's good thing? It makes the game more RPG-like. I like that I can raise my "defense" stat.
Hahaha what a faggot, git gud kid. Ds2 is the ultimate pleb filter. Also Majula > The rest
Joshua Perry
If the game had a built-in input lag, and then there was a stat you could increase to reduce the inherent input lag, would that also be acceptable because it's an "RPG feature"
John Brown
What does this mean. It's like somebody had a stroke while writing it
Landon Garcia
>whip/f What do you mean by "f"? And you mean play a hexer build along with using the whip?
Wyatt Gray
whip/fist weapon user, formatting fucked up
it would be fine if the game was at all honest about what adaptability/agility actually did or if there was at least a visual distinction between the different rolls like in literally every other game in the franchise to let you intuit which one probably has more iframes
given how the game just has horrible hitboxes that never got fixed (like the big cyclops demon things magically sucking you into their hands from several feet away so eat you) you need a wiki to actually figure out if the reason you're taking those hits is because your iframes stat isn't high enough or if the game is just kind of shitty
Michael Gray
You like that you need to raise your core fucking gameplay stat?
Defense is one thing, but I rolls are core gameplay of the souls series
Levi Green
you have to try harder, sweetie.
Asher Adams
It has a ton of issues but it's still fun. The Souls formula works.
Samuel Thomas
see and yes that's what I mean. dark souls 2 is unlike every other game in the series and you want to jack the fuck out of your stats by leveling up all the time, so you can absolutely get away with putting in even something like 20/20 str/dex on a "caster" build so you can use a good infused weapon + buff (whch stats in this game for some reason) to frag everyone instead of just sitting there like a jackass trying to hit people with spells that whiff on enemies that move 1 pixel out of sync with you
Christopher Peterson
It's funny that you bring up DeS since it also has a broken healing system.
Christopher Ross
partly yes, but giving the player only 8-10 iframes off the start when mid-rolling compared to ds1 giving you 11 off the start. Instead they should have just gave all characters 10 or 11 iframes from the start and gave the player freedom to decide if he wants to increase them . youtube.com/watch?v=fWk-BCA5N2E
Chase Wright
They made levels cheap so put the points in the stat
There are some things that should not be locked behind RPG elements, especially in an action game. Plus it's poorly executed.
Jayden Jackson
>it would be fine if the game was at all honest about what adaptability/agility actually did or if there was at least a visual distinction between the different rolls like in literally every other game in the franchise to let you intuit which one probably has more iframes
That's the biggest problem for me. It's one thing to have it so the only way to achieve better i-frames is through a stat rather than multiple ways in other games (such as reducing equip load or leveling endurance to get to a fast roll in DS1) But that's nothing compared to how shitty it feels to play when the animations aren't tied to the i-frames. All I would've wanted to be okay with adaptability was if the roll animation differed to reflect changes in i-frames. Instead when playing the game it just feels like it goes from having shitty hit detection to okay hit detection, even if that's not necessarily the cause.
Hudson Barnes
If it's well balanced then there's nothing wrong with it
Brody Hughes
DUDE REMEMBER ORNSTIEN? HERE HE IS IN SOME OTHER PLACE FOR LITERALLY NO REASON BLOCKING THE DOOR TO THIS COVENANT THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM LOL SORRY I MEANT "OLD DRAGONSLAYER", DON'T MIND THE DRAGON LITERALLY RIGHT OUTSIDE HIS GATE HE'S NOT SLAYING, HE'S OLD YOU KNOW
too bad agility isn't balanced at all because the distinction between when you get new iframes has absolutely no pattern with the stat itself and no way to check to the point where the stat literally does nothing for dozens of levels in a row once you get the first couple levels
Cameron Butler
interesting, I forgot about lances being a thing. What sort of stats would such a build require? Lances are strength, but doesn't dark scale with int+faith?
Jonathan Smith
remember the leaping attack that hits you even when you are 3 meters from his spear?
Ryder Ortiz
33STR & 27DEX to wield two at once otherwise 22STR 18DEX to wield one.
Weapon infusions in general don't scale. Some do but infusing the grand lance just provides 238 reg 238 dark on hit.
Hi everyone. My name is Anonymous, and Dark Souls 2 is my favorite game in the series. It was my first DS game, and I couldn't stop playing it. I had what you might call a sense of child-like wonder and amazement the entire playthrough. I love Dark Souls 2, and I'm not afraid to say it.
Also when I played Dark Souls 3 I remember feeling disappointed and underwhelmed overall.
Julian Morgan
lol ruin sentinels aren't even hard. Das 2 fags only have Smelter demon.
