There's a friendship tied to it so if you want Amon you have to get a Ron or Tsumo while in wareme and one other requirement. You also need to win at least one game at another parlor before you can access the woman's friendship and mahjong parlor. If you want 100% you also have a plethora of requirements but it's not needed for Amon, just her friendship is.

I just beat it and that was probably one of the strongest endings in a RGG game in a while. I'm glad none of Yagami's crew bit it since all of them were pretty likable at the end

You need to always call insurance because they get Blackjacks way too often not to, and if you see a 7, 8, 9, or a face card there's an enormous chance the card underneath is a 10/face so make the judgement call on if you want to stand with that one or not. I'd recommend you, at most, go to 5k bets, win the 5k bet, and bail. It's ridiculous to get four wins in a row, don't chance a 10k bet. It's always been this rigged but you tend to see the dealer going over more than before.
They actually started fixing poker though, you can't just bluff the entire hand and get thousands easily anymore, now they see through the entire hand the majority of the time and if anyone is raising past the river reveal they have a double at least. You can still keep raising over and over but a majority of the wins will be in a 600 chip profit range.

I've actually never seen the police break up fights. A few times I hear sirens tho I always finish before they arrive.

I like the play these games underskilled for a challenge, and to hard points. I also like screwing around during fights, especially now that you can fight indoors. This system has nothing to do with git gud, it just ruins the fun.

I just want someone who after their explosive appearance on the scene gets a game or two to expand further while still in a physical prime of sorts, even if it's not as a playable character.

I just don't want to see them wheel Ichiban out as a playable badass and next game he is INSTANTLY back to the "past his peak, old, crestfallen" shit they have been pulling with Kiryu, Majima, and Saejima for 4/5/6 if he shows up in Shin 2.

Honestly, they've done fairly good with new protagonists so far. The closest to "eh" were Haruka and Saejima to me, but everyone else has been fantastic.

I especially like the difference in scale that most get. Kiryu, Majima, and Saejima are stupid strong and can solve almost everything through brute force, meanwhile you have Yagami struggling with a bottom tier Tojo family.

And Akiyama's gone from that to maybe somewhere as strong as Kiryu/Majima were in 0 over the course of a few games.

It unlocks some stuff like better potions, which can be pretty useful. Once you get the VR and two darts upgrade the rest is for friendship and trophy, and also pretty expensive.
