This is kind of the problem with Pokemon because that dude is correct since Pokemon has basically never really strong in those departments since the first 2 Gens. People come to love the idea of team building and the raising of pokemon to add to your team and in the reserves

The problem is that Pokemon is the only game of its kind and there's no where else to turn to get your fix of the game style.

Pokemon has generally had good music in every gen. That said, I think Music is #2 after gameplay but I would never buy a game that was shit except for its music. I'd just listen to the music.

The fulfillment of a fantasy, whether it be related to the pet mechanics, the battling mechanics, or any amount of roleplaying you can get from it. The fact that there is so much autism about bromons and such on this board shows that there is some irremovable amount of roleplaying and formation of relationships in pokemon.
