Well, this is the beginning of the end for the Nintendo Switch. Future games will be developed with Switch Lite's specs in mind. Overall development quality will drop.
I see what they are going for here: Cheaper production + broader market = ¥
'Docking' turned out to be a gimmick after all. I bet that in 3 years everything coming out on Switch will be developed with handheld only in mind. We were test monkeys in a marketing experiment. They got us in the door by promising a console that could be played 'on the go' but what it actually is is a PSvita with an HDMI cable.
Okay, Michael Pachter We heard you the first billion times

Switch Lite specs are the same as the Switch's though.
>'Docking' turned out to be a gimmick after all >implying that they're not going to create a lite-dock to sell separately If they weren't planning to let you dock it at some point, tell me why there's that groove in the back just below the charge that's designed to support locking the console to the USB-C jack in the dock?

But that just means docked games should look and run better then.

They literally said games will continue to be made with only the original switch in mind.

>games will be developed with Switch Lite's specs in mind So... the original Switch's specs?
The way I see it is the switch will likely takeover the 3ds slot and eventually a premium home console will emerge from nintendo to rival the ps5 and project scarlet. This could just be a switch pro or it could be something completely seperate we'll have to wait and see but I don't think that the switch will be the only system in nintendo's stable for the future unless the pro is real and considerably more powerful that the OG switch.

Good thing I have a PC to play graphical intensive games.
