Besides the obvious of having more characters, I'd like to see some kind of beat-em up single player story mode. It's been proven that you can turn Skullgirls into a fully functional beat-em up with about an hour of engine modding, so I'd like to see a story mode that's a little more robust than just fighting Valentine/Double a lot. Even if it's just some Medici goons/Skullheart minions, the mechanics are all there. I also wouldn't mind seeing a few characters and their mechanics revisited. Originally, Eliza was supposed to have a mechanic that worked based on pools of blood that accumulated on the stage as the fights progressed. For whatever reason that ended up getting cut, but it sounded pretty neat.

Yeah I'm curious to see what the plot of the next game looks like and what ending they end up choosing as canon. I have a suspicion it's going to be Filia or Parasoul, since those endings leave a lot open as well as set up the rise of the next Skullgirl. Parasoul would probably be a better fit, since it works for her character and would make Umbrella's inclusion more meaningful.
