the initial part is probably worth doing, as the relic looks pretty cool, and it sends you to the 3 hard mode primals and you have to do those anyway to proceed in the MSQ. to fully power it up will take weeks though

It keeps getting worse, as classes become even more top heavy every expac. But, why fix it when a simple jump potion can solve all these problems?

The relic quest is a huge pain in the ass yes. There are several steps stat will run you at least 100k gil with one in particular near the end running you 500k at least. This is ignoring the ridiculous grinding like the books. Each of which need to be bought (one at a time so you can't double up objectives) and require you to run 3 specific dungeons, do 3 specific fates, kill about 7-8 different enemies ~3 times, and do 3 guild leves. All of these will be in different areas and all of this needs to be done like 10 times. Then theres the steps where you need to run dungeons over and over to level up your weapon.

Its a huge gil and time sink so it isn't worth it unless you really like the weapon. I'm happy I got Bravura but I probably wouldn't do it for another class unless I did everything else in the game.

I've a question to other raid-savvy Bards here.
I want to become better but I feel like I've reached my full potential without knowing the intricacies of the rotation of anything other than to Iron Jaw my dots at the end of Raging Stirkes count down and to not do it again until they reach about 5 seconds.

What else am I missing here? Bard is a fairly simple class with a straight forward rotation and I'm unsure on what more to do to raise my numbers.
For reference I've got the full kit of EX and Goetia gear on me save for Innocence Earrings and I've decked on as much Direct Hit Materia as I am able.
At best during Titania Ex my parse is about 9.0 or 8.8.

Both of those she can learn at the existing guilds that are around to teach people like her. Gridania ain't even that far away from Mor Dhona its like two zones and I bet there are caravans back and forth all the time.

Hard to say without logs to look at, my best advice rn is to use the compare function on fflogs with top parses around your kill time to see if you're not hitting your buttons enough. It's still a pretty busy class by xiv standards. Also you want to optimally IJ during raidbuffs but that alone won't increase your DPS to 10k. Apply dots to pad on every add if you're not already doing it in the extreme trials

Chocos are good healers, mediocre dps, and trash tanks. They'll become all three at once eventually, but that's after a ton of usage and a ton of onions.

Similar situation with some in my FC, though mostly in relation to the story. Understandable if you have no clue about FFT's plot, I suppose, but still sad.

I do not understand why people get so riled up when they call the game for what it is, a themepark, even the director agrees on that.
Gameplay wise? Nothing out of this world, rotations are fun, but you will be doing one rotation on a boss, and you will be doing the same rotation on the last boss, but I guess some people are into that.
Story? I gotta admit Shadowbringers was a pretty damn good ride, way better than I expected, but they didn't feel the same way Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Ughan or even Rise of Zilart felt to me, since lore in FFXI had more depth and details than FFXIV has so far.
Overall, good game, It has a lot of flaws, sure, but it is a fun game.
Soundtrack has been pretty good overall as well.

Yeah red magic limits the source of your magic, using internal aether instead of channeling extrenal aether. But considering most of red magic is just casting bootleg versions of white/black magic I bet the actual spell casting itself is pretty similar. The only things I think you would really change are the source of your aether, and the focus on raising your white/black aether levels internally.

I've never found an opportunity to use it yet. On InnocEX I figured Beatific Vision was asking for it, but now I just tackle > 3 GCDs > disengage while meditating.

I'd say that's all it's its really for in actual practice. There's usually always a way to hold stacks, but learning it on the fly during progression can be frustrating, so you just slap an SSS on it and keep moving. I've enjoyed using as a tornado kick at the end of pulls, boss fights, and general stack sustain for long periods. Mixing it with Anantman and RoE has been very rewarding

Tower and G'raha still being there basically means the doomed timeline is also still there. You can't change your own past and time travel only results in another timeline.

if you reach level 50 you can turn into a samurai or red mage.

4.4 and 4.5 are completely disconnected from SB 4.0-4.3 and start tying into ShB, so you should read them.
Not sure why you want the level 72 ability since every duty in SB will sync you to 70, but daily roulettes and Castrum Abania are about all you can do.

A lot of the time if you could go into damage stance, you could have pulled more. Not only that but people pretend that every random pug is somehow playing perfectly and that the 20% damage mitigation + IB/SC is worthless. I've been in tons of runs where the healer straight up doesn't know what they're doing, is undergeared, or dies halfway through the fight but WAR's tank stance was so good you could soak for awhile just through that alone.
