Not even that. Just make them faster by literal decimals. The difference in speed between Accel/Balanced is easily closed, and you could probably get away with leaving the visible stats the same.

Handling is a bit more involved. I personally think their acute powerslide angle is kinda unique, but since players CAN'T keep boosting as much to hold reserves, they should be allowed to build reserves slightly faster than all the other classes. It doesn't need to be much. 1 boost ahead at all times, tops.

This would also keep in line with the 'beginner' designation for the class. Obviously if they need to boost less to keep reserves that makes them a bit easier to use, but it's far harder to hold a line in straights with them.

Turning is rendered virtually useless due to drift boosting janking you sideways so fucking hard. Just try a triple boost at the start of crash cove with a speed character, and then with a turning character. Hint, its nearly impossible to do it with a turning character.

On tracks that take any actual skill like cortex castle most people can't use speed or even accel characters very well at all. That's where balance and handling come in.

Maneuverability means fucking nothing to beginners who can't powerslide. They're slamming into every wall in the game and choosing someone faster in a line literally makes them faster.

I beat Oxide on Crash Cove on my 2nd try after hearing about how difficult he was.
A lot of people must suck at this game if they found that Oxide difficult since I beat him by 4 seconds.

This is the only time it would actually be faster for them to use a 'beginner' character. For most of the early tracks in the game there is literally no reason to use something other than Speed though.

Actual new players are terrible with speed characters. They do much better with balance. Watching streams has shown me this.

I did some battle challenges really quickly against cpus and coins also didn't count there either at least every other game. There might be a time cooldown or something so you don't get coins too fast

I find relics much harder than time trials. Time trials you can just go all out and boost like a madman, relics demand more precision and planning in order to effectively get enough boxes

They should add a new jump stat. High jump characters would be okay at handling, suck at speed an acceleration, but have the biggest air. They'd get more opportunities for boosts, and hit shortcuts easier, though maybe run a greater risk of overshooting jumps if you aren't careful.

Papu's Pyramid was the bane of my existance in platinum relic runs user i feel you, especially since i did it on Medium. People say N.Gin Labs is the worst but that map can be done quite easily if you know how to USF a good half 70% of the map. The best thing about Relic platinum on medium is you have to learn how to move around the map ASAP while hitting boxes, thus you learn the best time to slide. Helped me alot online.

The pit stop is dumb. I don't think I've ever seen anybody use that thing online either, so evidently it doesn't even appear until you buy the other ones, or then nobody just likes it. I certainly haven't seen it a single time since launch

Yes, I use the bonuses for the challenges that actually give reasonable amounts of nitro and then use whatever I want online. Like I said, I'm still getting Motorsport Tawna tomorrow so I have a very hard time understanding why everyone is using Motorsport Ami everywhere online when there's simply no need for that.

I only go full nitro when I need a challenge done, after that I just take that shit off because most of the motorsport skins look worse than the default skins

You're not doing it correctly, the red bar needs to fill entirely. You need to rev your engine a couple times to make it fill more. No idea why the game doesn't tell you this though

Completely fucked up, has all the worst stats with barely any benefits. Worse acceleration and turn than Handling, but only gets slightly more speed to compensate. It needs to have at least two more notches of speed to compensate for it's shit acceleration and terrible turning angle compared to Accel.

Shouldn't have as much speed as Balanced, period. Knock it's speed down one peg, making it still faster than Beginner but worse than Advanced/Balanced in a straight shot. It still has superior acceleration and a better drift angle for straights to compensate for it's slightly nerfed speed stat.

Had a match with a Megumi where I literally couldn't get a bead on her because she kept lagging and clipping into the ground/walls, making it impossible to hit her with items or see where she was going.
