The cancer is about to kill vidya, and we only have time to remove one tumor. Which one do we target for the industry's best survival chances?
The cancer is about to kill vidya, and we only have time to remove one tumor...
>JRPG using Producing Perfection
YOU WERE SO CLOSE
consoles
Twitch
Cut off the head, and the body dies
well lets see
E-Sports, Free to Play, JRPGS, Early Access, twitch streamers, and mobile games are annoying but they arent really "killing" the industry.
Game Journos, DLC, and AAA devs are essentially the worst of this list. Getting rid of either of these 3 would make the entire industry alot better
I personally say to get rid of all DLC. Without any microtransactions and DLC, we could potentially get bigger, and better structured games
Kill AAA devs or casuals and youll remove atleast half the other tumors with it.
Casuals, AKA normalfags. They support most of those other practices/genres, so getting rid of them will fix a lot of it.
reminder that the last game he played was fortnite
I don't remove anything. This guy is a cuck.
>We could potentially get bigger, and better structured games
YOu'd get the exact same games, with yearly sequels instead
It isn't listed but I'm removing 'freemium' games. Those are the real cancer. FUCK GAMBLING
Casuals.
*was
Game journalism. They create casuals with their shitty opinion pieces and make promote shitty games and practices in the industry.
Games journalism, but Kotaku and Polygon only. The others can stay.
Twitch
too soon
too late
>Game Journos
No one cares about those. Also, those are only cancer in NA. Both Yurop and Japs may be some meh bloggers, but care not for politics.
>DLC
At the very worst it makes you pay more for a thing you like.
>AAA devs
Those are the backbone of the industry. Killing them is not an option. Those should be healed instead.
AAA devs
This
By removing the casuals you're removing mobile shit as well
Casuals. Without casuals, DLC, mobile games, twitch steamers, AAA devs, early access, e-sports, and games journalism all lose their power
Agree with most of it but JRPGs should be replaced with VNs.
i would finish him with a chemotherapy. Hopefully it will put out of misery quickly.
Those are all symptoms, user.
The cause is shitty managemend and decisions made by people that don't know shit about games pretty much every time.
So, management and funding sources are the cause.
It's a tie between casuals and journalism.
PP isn't a jrpg, retard
it's a idol simulator
Killing AAA devs or casuals would also kill like 75% of the other tumors so either one of those
So simply consoles
None of theese, micro and lootboxes gotta be gassed, the rest is at worst annoying.
Tfw I unironically want good mobile games back, before shitphones, some old games were amazing; worms, rise of antares, wolfenstein You can't find games like theese nowadays
Just like he was too late on getting his anal bleeding checked by a doctor lmao
nope, it's either consoles or mobile (phones)
what do I care about mobile games
haha yeah who cares about mobile games
*favorite series gets made into a mobile only game*
Free-to-play. This kills the majority of GaaS.
>GaaS
Cancer already, supported by casuals. No matter what option you pick it always comes back to casuals.
>Get cancer and die
Streamers, without them the casuals will drop out, esports will fail, mobile dies, with free to play and early access following not long after. DLC will go back to expansions rather than microtransactions, journalists will be forced to leave or stop their casual/political pandering, and AAA devs will finally get their heads on straight by making games the real fans want. JRPGs are fine, not my thing, but fine.
Game journos no fucking contest.
Early access,e-sports and DLC are all cancers caused by AAA Dev and AAA Dev is caused by casuals
So casuals is the correct answer but personally I would remove games journalism because I don't know a bigger class of petty assholes than them
>FUCK GAMBLING
Video games literally found popularity as playable slot machines. What do you think arcade games were?
A little bit of history for the zoomers: arcades were among the first instances of games as a service
/thread
I want the games I play to not be shit, don't care about games that are mobile
just remove casuals, by doing so you also remove AAA devs, mobile games, DLC, free to play and arguably game journalism
>Both Yurop and Japs may be some meh bloggers, but care not for politics.
Eurogamer is literally liberal propaganda.
