Shogun needs at least 20 more DLCs before this gets released

>SJW Medieval III
black kangz
transsexual nobles
female knights
indian street shitting pope

it's going to be glorious

Never. Never ever. Med II is peak total war made by a team that knew what they were doing. Medieval III is going to be a shitshow with openly gay popes, crusades that always backfire, jihads that always succeed, princesses who campaign on the battlefield for trans rights and all that other shit. On top of this, it's going to use the dead in the water, still being beaten like a dead horse with petrified stick Warscape engine, which was designed solely for gunpowder warfare and couldn't even do that properly. If Medieval III comes out, it's going to be the worst total war ever made, fail completely to live up to its predecessor, and basically be Rome 2 2.0.

>made by a team that knew what they were doing
what happened to CA afterwards?

But you can have female Pope in Medieval II...

You can have secretly female priests, yes - something which perfectly encapsulates the culture of the times and the strict patriarchal heirarchies the world followed. This is different than historical revisionism by having openly female popes who have ugly bull dyke sex with their female cardinals in front of their tranny council of black nobles - all in the Kingdom of Sweden.

Please no.Not until they get new engine and change current year CA staff.

Never. It's just not worth triggering the M2-autists. They will never accept M3, purely because it's not an exact copy of M2, even if it's somehow a perfect game.

three kingdoms sucks

>tfw want a Medieval 3
>Know that it will just be a reskin of Rome 2, like ever TW since Rome 2
I've given up on Total War and CA

Medieval II is my favorite but if it has one serious flaw it's that they never fixed player unit and AI pathing / behavior. Archers in particular are still fucked because they randomly walk around and bunch up to change formation when firing and half of them don't fire at all.

So how's Medieval II definitive edition?

based and Teutonicpilled

Anyone miss general speeches?

Its good if you mod it.

First Medieval was better

I've barely played vanilla Med2. Most of my time was in the Divide and Conquer mod as well as Call of Warhammer BOTET.

How so?

the AI during strategy map sessions is also a pile of crap, the game doesn't do shit just throw factions at you again and again, including allies as well, diplomacy isn't worth shit

Never.

It's called Total War: Attila and Total War: Thrones of Britannia

As much as I want Medi3 there hasn’t been a good total war since Shogun 2 and I don’t want them to fuck it up.

No kidding. Do you also constantly get foreign diplomats and princesses kneeling and bowing at your cities over and over for no reason? Like no diplomacy screen or prompting ever comes up but still turn after turn there they are?

It’s literally the same thing as base game + kingdoms.

Yeah but I think those were bribe attempts

>Divide and Conquer
I was more of a Total Overhaul Submod kind of guy. When it comes to mods though Stainless Steel is a fantastic vanilla+ overhaul and everybody should be playing it over vanilla.

Goddamn the vanilla campaign AI was awful. All of those stacks after stacks of the same cheap unit, no unit composition, to just form around cities. Empire was especially heinous with that.

Both Attila and 3K is good. This is not debatable.

From nu-CA? Hopefully never

dark ages=/=medieval

they only modern total war that isnt crap is shogun ii

Hopefully never, the last good game they made was Shogun 2.

With all the treatment it's been getting I think I prefer the updated Rome 2 over Attila. Now if it got the horde, razing, and more diplomatic mechanics then I will know I prefer Rome 2 over Attila.

Med 2 > Shogun 2 = Rome > the rest who fucking cares

>General speeches in Rome 2
>It's the same three speeches every battle
>Only the generals unit cheers

At least Shogun 2 had some half decent ones

R2 is certainly playable now, but I still think Attila is better. It's simply better at depicting it's time-period in a satisfying way. Playing Rome in R2 still isn't satisfying to me, when that should be the main draw, while playing the Western or Eastern Empire in Attila was certainly fun, not to mention all the other interesting factions.

IT'S SO BORING

Yeah, I don't really play base game Med 2 either. It's either Stainless Steel, Third Age with dac submod or Kingdoms campaigns.

Med 2 > WH1&2 > Rome 1 (and Barbarian Invasion > Rome 2 > Attila (but only because it runs like shit for me) > don't care about the rest

Why would you want? The games are glorified mobas now.
