Bust A Groove 1 has one of the best vidya OST's ever. That fusion of hip hop and rock I haven't come across very often elsewhere where it has actually worked well. My fave is probably Frida's theme:

Ironic that in the video game world there was music like this while at the same time mainstream music was completely destroying itself trying to combine rock, pop and rap into some Dr. frankenstein shit.

Bust A Groove was pretty basic by the standards of its time too tbdesu. That's why it didn't review well and isn't remembered much now.
It's a great game that you can beat in about 40 minutes or maybe less. Everyone who played it seems to love it though, so there ya go.

Shorty is CUTE
The character art in this game was so damn good.
It was so good, plus if you hit the special twice the characters get modified, like getting a big head by capoeira or being flat because shorty's cake

Love Bust a Groove, but I've only played the first one. Scored a japanese copy of 2 online to play with my modded ps1 but I guess the mod is too outdated and the copy protection won't let it boot

The same thing happened to me on my PSone a few years ago. I will try to play it on my Vita.
Has anybody played Dance Summit 2001? It's pretty much the third Bust a Groove game, even has a special controller.
I own it and the controller but I haven't played it since I don't have a modded PS2
