Be honest, is BOTW one of your favourite games? If not what games do you like?

I don't really have a favourite game desu.
Maybe Mario World, but that's just because it was the first game I ever played.
What a weird thread. Either we talk about BotW or if we don't like it we can talk any other game in existence. Is this a Botw thread or no?
Will I like it if Gothic and Stalker CoP are my all time favourites?
And Ass Creed 1 and 2,forgot about them for some reason
BOTW isnt my favorite its pretty good but im a WW chad
>not Skyward Sword
My pleb detector went off the chart
it looks so nice and smooth onCEMU. i hated playing on the wii u and dropped it when it released.
Yeah it's up there
I gave BotW to a friend after my third session because I got sick of spending 90% of my gameplay waiting for stamina to recharge. Game might be fun with speedhacks I dunno, but it certainly wasn't fun by default.
didn't play it. lol
yes
It's a 1/(the number of all games ever made) of a BotW thread
>L forward+Hold Down+Spam B
Tell your friend to do this
It´s a good game but has a severe problem midway though with "I´m strong enough to beat the game now but I´ll just keep roaming around in hopes of finding anything interesting" and it never happens. The game could really use more dungeons like hyrule castle, real high level equipment that never broke and you could add status to and other kinds of runes/traditional itens just for the sake of variety. Speaking of variety, the game absolutely needs more enemy types.
Now, about my favorite games...for Zelda It´s Majora´s. In general Megaman X.(the first one) with Dark Souls and the series as a whole being really high on my list. I like a lot of different stuff though, It´s hard to make a top 5 or something
Why do people insist on running all the time in games?
It was a good game, but not even one of my favorite zelda games, interesting concept by going full on open world, but without dungeons or mechanical items it kind of falls flat.
If they had dungeons half the size of hyrule castle for each of the 4 major areas it would have been 10/10, but shrines were aesthetically boring after your first 3
they don't call 'em zoomers for nothing
Eh, BOTW wasn't that great. The shrine system was not a good replacement for dungeons and the game was more a frustrating inventory management game then an action adventure game, I can't tell whats worse, Iron Boots in the original OOT water temple or weapon durability
Game felt mostly like one massive chore to gear up to fight ganon, sure there is a ton of side stuff to explore, but even fucking majora's mask, previously the most sidequest heavy zelda game still had dungeons and gadgets.
I had fun playing through it and doing a handful of side quests, but weapon degradation with absolutely no method of repair just ended up making me avoid combat 8/10 times when confronted with it. I had more fun figuring out ways to cheese the shrines and travel without getting in fights. I also repeatedly jerked off to Zelda's tight little ass in that one memory.
I enjoy games like The Division, Fallout and World of Warcraft for the adventure. I like exploring well crafted worlds in games. When a game has silly mechanics that put speed bumps in my exploring, I hate that shit.
Are zoomers physically capable of having fun? How can anyone play a game, especially one with a huge open world, with a rush mindset? When I play a game and like it, I don't rush. I don't feel the need to complete a game in a week. I can play it for a year if I want to. I think zoomers don't actually read up on games before they buy them, they think they need to play every single AAA game that comes out even if it clearly isn't their kind of game and so they need to rush through all games and skip through fun to keep up. Fucking retards. I played maybe 10 games in my entire life and I loved all of them because I looked up basic info on them and I knew those were games that I'll like.
the divine beasts were complete forgettable garbage. bring back kino themed temples in the sequel
Bump
They find fun watching speedrunners on twitch and giving them their mom's boyfriend's money.
Stop being so fucking obvious with your fanboyism. The game has a huge open world, sure, but if you actually expect me to walk from point of interest to point of interest without running or at least mounting up then you're got to have some kind of issue of your own.
ZOOM ZOOM
>fanboyism
I haven't played any Zelda game ever because I'm a mustard.
>do you expect me to never mount a horse or whatever
That's not what I said
>from poi to poi
If pois are the only thing you care about in open world games you should stick to Ubisoft
Is it even possible to be a 30 year old zoomer?
Have you tried getting a horse?
BotW is definitely in my Top 10 of all time.
No it isn't. I really like Bloodborne and Sekiro.
it is
Maybe we have different meanings of poi. To me it's anything interesting in the game, even if it's not marked by the game as something I need to see. I'm not going to walk from one shrine to another, but I might walk from a shrine to an enemy camp, then to an interesting rock formation, then to the river, then to the next shrine.
So you clearly are driven by curiosity, why rush then? When you go to a place that you found interesting despite there being no usual "meaningful stuff", why don't you, I don't know, try to fuck around, make a camp, try to look at it from different perspectives or think up some fun way to interact with it as BotW supposedly allpws you to do more than any other game?
I would say it's in my top 20 after WWHD.
I don't like open world games, but people hyped BotW as best game ever I went and bought it
Sadly it is the same as every other open world game. First 5 hours is fun, then the Skinner's box and knee-deep sea syndrome hits. Easily one of the most frustrating games I have ever finished
But, I like Alundra, FF9, TF2, Divinity: Original Sin 1&2, Neverwinter Nights, CTR(And especially NitroFueled), Kirby Air Ride, Doom 1&2 and MGS3
It's just that I don't feel like it's rushing if I've seen the area before or if there's clearly nothing interesting between point a and point b.
pmt for me too
It's disheartening to find a cool place with cool name, but see one-two korok puzzles in there. No hidden mini dungeon or cool unique rewards. Even if the place has a shrine, it's still the same shrine
No, they are mindless soulless automatons who have been reprogrammed to think they are happy donating five bucks and getting their name shouted out by joeisuckdicks the twitch guy.
Battlefield 3
Fair point. I want a game where some interesting ways to travel through already visited locations are added over time. For example, after you reached some tower, you could be able to use an aerial tramway to a few places. Or a fucking catapult that could throw you in one set direction but you could control how far you land by timing the use of parachute (I think being catapulted would be fun as fuck and BotW could afford to do it without worrying if it makes sense in the game world). Or late in game you could unlock an eagle nest so you could Gandalf to different places. You could swim down a river or use a bobsleigh. I think with enough effort Nintendo could design a world interconnected with various travel options in a way that minimizes boring walking through already visited locations.
No. I like literally everything else.
