If a DS cart is fake, but it plays like normal, does it really matter?

only for resale value. Sometimes fakes can actually be so rare that its worth money.

Depends. Are you selling it or advertising it as real? If so the no fucking duh it matters. If not, then of course no one cares since they know what they are getting

Sometimes a fake can surpass the original.

probably the only reason you'd buy a DS game now instead of emulating or using a flash cart is if you're an autistic collectorfag in which case why are you settling for a fake

sometimes the real one becomes fake and the fake becomes the real one

if your girlfriend is fake, but it plays like a normal one, does it really matter?

>plays like a normal one
>fictional
?

I had a Heart Gold that was fake. It worked perfectly though, except the game corner wouldn't work and would freeze when you tried to use the slots

>this fucking kind of thread again
fakes perform worse because they are R4 ripoffs with shit quality ROMs
also save data cannot be extracted because it is stored differently
example - fake pokemon games where poketransfer and IR functional doesn't work

no, that was just to illustrate my post

If they save correctly and work identically to the original then I don't really care.
I never sell my games so the authenticity doesn't matter to me.

my .NDS files arent fake

Fucking how

Okay Shadow.

as long as you didn't pay full price for the fake

Only a mongrel would settle for that. A fake can never surpass the original

Never post this again.

That being said, you did make me worry a tad and check the sf3 copy I got today.
Main reason is because those suckers can go for $40+ on ebay yet they're $20 at gamestop so I was worried it was too good to be true.
It's real though so yay.

Shit happens. Like how a fake antique might actually be as worth as much as the real thing after the real one got broke.

oh my god. Who saves this and posts it

Why are you trying to mislead everyone? Right is real left is fake.

>easily corrupts data
>more prone to freezing
>no resell value
>no value for collecting
>fake ds games have trouble working on 3ds/dsi
>cheaply made cartridges
>shortcuts taken on gba games so the battery dies insanely faster

at this point, just get a rom if you dont care about authenticity, but no one wants to buy a fake game, since mostly physical buyers are collectors

>only two games that don't have it are copies of warioware touched and star fox command I that bought for game stop for 3 bucks
not even mad
