Why'd they pick these colors? None of these colors are currently associated with the switch and they aren't exactly popular colors. They had a turquoise 2ds as well. Grey makes sense but you'd think the other two would be the color of the switch joycons.

The DS Lite was white in its flagship model unlike the regular DS. It was far smoother and rounded and less "video gamey" than the original DS. It went for a different image which attracted a wider audience. However, apart from aesthetic, it was an undeniable upgrade in every way to the regular DS which made it attractive to people who may have preferred the more video gamey aesthetic of the original model.
The Switch Lite is for an audience that primarily plays in handheld mode, wants cheaper hardware, and doesn't care about options. It's the budget model for kids to replace their aging 3DS. Anyone who has an income and is personally interested in video games is of course going to purchase the regular Switch for themselves. Mom and Dad don't necessarily care about video games though so the Switch Lite seems like a nice cheap option for 9 year old Billy as a Christmas gift with the new Pokémon game.
In short, you have to be retarded to actually be upset about the Switch Lite because it's like getting upset that the 2DS exists. Oh wait, people did get upset when the original 2DS was announced and didn't comprehend that it was a budget model instead of an upgrade. I swear there's a lot of people with legitimate autism on this board. You can't fathom the idea of something that comes out later as not having all the bigger numbers. Seeing 2, 4, 7, 8, 6 just infuriates you.
