You know, I really like my Switch, normally I play on one of my other consoles but the exclusives are good and it's a console I'm happy I own, but why does Nintendo insist on making smaller versions of their consoles all the time? I'd happily get a Switch that has more power for better graphics. Could they be waiting for the next gen?

Hopefully the battery life is actually excellent. Having 2 hours and change of BOTW play in handheld mode was unacceptable. I can pull my fucking nearly 15 year old DS phat out and still get 4+ hours out of it playing a game.

I think that's the point. It's shit, and not any better than TAA. It will get rid of all the jaggies but you need to re-sharpen it, which isn't a bad compromise for really jagged games but still loses some detail.

Imho the whole "smaller but totally the same thing!" is what makes Nintendo products so strong on the market. Let's face it: Switch Lite is a good idea on paper, but they executed it horribly and I believe they make this bad versions on purpose. People will buy the Lite, enjoy it for a bit and feel happy with their console. The more they play, the more people they'll meet with a Switch. And the moment they set eyes on the standard model they'll just regret buying the Lite model rather than the more palatable and eclectic choice.
Since the target audience for the "Lite" products seem to be kids and non-fans, it makes sense for them to produce a product so inferior that even someone who's not "educated" would recognize as a bastardised version of the real deal.
The goal seems to make some customers feel inferior to otherz so that they'll most likely purchase another console in order to feel like they're just like the other cool kids.
