For me, the main thing the Switch is good at isn't third party ports as much as indie games. The OS is fast enough that it's easy to jump into most nearly any indie games in 10-15 seconds.
Also, I find it's better for RPGs in general, the FF7 and FFXII ports are pretty solid

The Wii u was actually a great system for about 3 years, until they shifted their focus to the switch. I paid $300 for it but I'd say it was worth about $200. Not the biggest waste of money. Now the Xbox 360, that was a piece of garbage and I deeply regret ever buying it.

i bought a switch only for smash and havent touched the game in months, switch really doesnt have games with extreme staying power, things like cyberpunk, death stranding, ff15 or mgsv. generally games i can dump tons of hours into and would be worth buying to play on the go, witcher 3 is a great start however
