I could see something bad happening in lion land, empire eagles try to expand and flex on them. Lions barely fight off invading eagles. Deer meanwhile are selling to both sides and keeping the war going for as long as they can make profit from it. They might be thinking to take over the weakened warring nations when this ends or make them so in debt to them they might as well be owned by them.

the continent in which the game takes place is held by three separate states with differing ideals and government types. all three of these countries worship this church called the church of seiros. they're pretty cool and involved in the creation myth of the continent.
ur dad is a very famous warrior of the church of seiros
you get to be a teacher at this monastery that is held by the church that teaches the young nobles of each of the countries mentioned prior. what starts out as a simple prof teaching students of his choice plot inevitably becomes embroiled in a broader plot regarding conquest of the continent. feudal era conflicts abound in this series.

i mean, you can have a formulaic story and still be compelling. fe4's story is something you've heard before a lot of times, but the execution of it is really well done and the characters are pretty likable. most fe stories have this boilerplate type of plot that is good because of interesting characters / motivations or sometimes subversions.

Not trying to criticize or anything, I just didn't think it was a series known for it's story as I've never played one before. Been interested in the games for a while so I was hype for the first switch release and wanted to know about it.
