It's really not all that good, the people into it are into the characters and the fights are just the only respectable part of the show worth talking about. Even then, the fights can get retarded. Like, in Volume 3 the robot girl drops a several ton boulder on these asshole's heads and everyone applauds it and then later one of the girls breaks a dude's leg and it's a big deal for some reason. Or like how Blake can apparently jump hundreds of meters horizontally and vertically when fighting the Grimm on the boat but god help her if even one dude socks her in the back of the head.

Show is stupid, go in expecting that and it's not too bad.

I was a bit hopeful for volume 7 since they seemed to have taken the big problems with 4 and 5 to heart which we're the exposition dump fights. The robot fight was retarded but the one on one's we're nice although part of that was just the last of Monty's unused animations. I'm back to expecting nothing after the shit they pulled with Vic though.

If you genuinely think this there's no way you would have liked the show to begin with. There's only a few minutes of real "Monty" fights in the first three volumes total and 90% of the show has always been character interactions.

I like the outfits, but i'm more upset every new character has no style anymore. With volume 4 the League of Villains we're all just white dudes with regular human hair and eyes except Tyrian. They even subdued established character colors so it wouldn't clash horribly. I miss Monty's character designs and outfits more than anything.

I think there was a bit of drama recently over their animation workflow pipeline being god awful. After Gen:Lock they apparently brought some advisers in from Pixar or something that told them they had no idea how anything got made with the way the animation department did things. This was recent though and long since Monty passed.

There's quite literally no reason to keep watching this show unless you're held at gunpoint by the writers. Even if you're all about the waifus you can simply masturbate to them and be done with it.
First couple Volumes were flawed but at least they had the excuse of it not having budget, even if the fight scenes were traced at least they looked good enough and had a good synergy to it. Monty was a retard for doubling down on Poser and not wanting to learn how to actually animate on a good program. Vol. 3 was awfully animated but it set up some good plot hooks to build up to and proved the story was much more than "highschool adventures". Vol. 4 was kind of a dread to watch as it aired because the fucks took an entire season to walk through a forest when fecking Oscar did the same travel in like a couple days of a train ride but I've heard it's better if you binge watch it and at least it gets Ren and Nora's story outta the way so they can move on to continue being background characters.
Then Volume 5 is the worst piece of human garbage, both written and animated, that exists on the fave of the Earth. Can't believe this shit is part of a season finale of a million dollar IP

Volumes 4 and 5 were generally not liked though, it's only Volume 6 that's kinda worth watching. It's not dick sucking it's just true, the show's quality dropped for a bit after he died.
