It'll be in September
1.2 beta is out but it's a bit too buggy

What did they change?

Guys, I just wanted a CK2-style game in a Roman Empire setting, not this soulless piece of shit... It's not fair bros...

Thanks

Im trying to get trade hegemon since I was done with revoking at 1601 and felt bored. Biggest problem is that vassals refuse to clean up the rebels that spawn

Just finished my Aztec game getting rape by Spain, GB and France and their colonies.
What country should I play next?

japan

no, but it will grow good as they slowly realize 10000 DLCs, but then it will cost 500$, but you can pirate it

Why should I play this instead of Total War Rome II?

I have yet to try both.

Get Stellaris. Theyve fixed so much, and its now a great game. Only downside is sectors blow, I miss the old "draw you own sectors" mechanic.

How hard would be to make a Grand Strategy game from scratch? I love the genre and would like to try and make something

Will Field of Glory Empires be any good?
Giving FoG strategy elements sounds like perfection so I hope they don't fuck it up

Oda? And what should I do after unify Japan? Ming don't implode anymore.

recently started playing HOI4 again, wanted to try the new expansions and patches. Found out they somehow managed to make the game even worse. Also realised how it is a slow time eating turd. How the fuck did I enjoy this kind of thing?

try to get a land connection to ming after they push through a reform and are weak. once you pozzed them with negative mandate they still explode.

What other grand strategy game that is not:
Could you recommend?

vikky 2

I'm cautiously optimistic about this one.

had a pretty fun Japanese colonization game, never quite finished it but I colonized New Zealand which was my goal

Any tips on quickly unify Japan?

This isn't even a Roman Empire setting it's Roman Republic

TWR2
>good battles, but fundamentally crappy campaign design
>DLC out the ass

Imperator Rome
>paying full price for what's basically a """playable""" skeletal framework of a game transparently awaiting DLC

Play neither.

in EU4? play one of the big guys, always keep positive relations with the ashikaga shogun, invest somewhat in a navy, break the bank and play aggressively early on so you aren't as dependent on allies. save the shogun for last so you don't get independent daimyos getting tributary'd to china.
