But the Switch isn't exactly expensive anyway. I could even see the vanilla Switch getting cheaper in retail because it would be an older SKU now.
In the holidays there's going to be some good pack-in bundles for the less affluent to shift some old game stock.
You could easily get a used Switch in decent condition cheaper than this will retail for new too.
The only actual benefit is the extra bit of battery life I guess.
I feel like, it if has to still be in a case or backpack/bag, its not really a true portable. And using the Switch in handheld mode I always felt is a little awkward due to how thin and wide it is. And this new handheld is still pretty thin and wide. Like if it was a Switch Nano and was like a third smaller than it currently is I'd say: yeah. I'd get that.

Yeah. The Vita is juuuust about pocketable. Still awkward to use due to a lot of design flaws but you can still put it into a sleeve and be mostly secure walking with it in a pocket. If it was the ONLY thing in that pocket and not a tight jeans pocket.
N3DS has been the perfect balance IMO. You could get away with it being a little bigger sort of around 3DSXL size.
