My launch models shoulder buttons fell off (somewhere...) and my slidey pad doesnt register up.

I gear the new 2DS is far worse build quality than the launch model and I dont want that!

The DS spawned many of the series that got tired sequels on 3DS (especially Layton whose first game is amazing)

The DS had the support of square-enix and Konami, I can't remember a single worthwhile game published by them on 3DS

Because the New 3DS XL is all we got. The New 3DS only came with special releases and bundles. The Black Friday edition is the only way to get a NA black colored one too.

No the XL has a larger screen with the same aspect ratio so the pixel density is much, much worse. It looks like shit compared to the smaller screen.

my Xbone i bought last year has been nice, but the damn ps4 wasn't out, and the switch was still $300 during pre-black friday sales at the store i went to

and as much as i love smash, mario kart, zelda, metroid, etc, i have other Nintendo consoles plus emulators if needed to play any of the classics

well i hope they cut the 3ds price to 60 or something before discontinuing. might then get one finally.
