Which one will the the best action game of 2019?

>One of these isn't out

Anyways, normies and fromsoft fags will rave about Sekiro
DMC fans will rave about DMC
Weebs will rave about Astral Chain

All 3 of these games have or are going to have problems.
Sekiro's story is fucking awful and boring when it should have just focused on life as a shinobi during a coup trying to rescue his master.

DMC 5's hack n slash shit gets boring and theres not many variation in combo's and everyone has one move that's fucking boring to use but gets easy S ranks and kills enemies fast as fuck.

Astral Chain will probably fall apart halfway through and get boring and repetitive as fuck.

Why are you even comparing one of the greatest action games ever made to, dark souls 5 and platinum shit ?
Also where's kingdom hearts 3 faggot.

you can tell this post is made by a third-worlder, an ESLfag, to be precise

Dmc5 had the better gameplay but sekiro's can be very satisfying. Astral chain looks nier automata tier from what i've seen

Astral Chain. It's not out yet but the gameplay videos show that the game is fierce and innovative.
Meanwhile DmC2 and Japan Souls are just the same regurgitated gameplay as their predecessors.

>boring
>boring
>boring
What isn't boring then, fag?

>not many variation in combos
Did you even play the game?

>getting triggered because I pointed out the problems in each game
You'd probably get triggered if I pointed out the good things in each game too fags.

Meant for

>theres not many variation in combo's
Dante and Nero have an insane amount of moves art their disposal and multiple mechanics designed to open up combo freedom. I've seen the punching bag segment against DMC dozens of times but this is the first time I've seen somebody argue that there's not a lot of combo variety. If anything that would apply to 4, not 5.

Also great job assuming a game that isn't out yet will get bad halfway through with no basis for saying that, especially since it's a directorial debut. Honestly I wish there was enough footage or there for somebody to legitimately make a call like that.

Haven't played Sekiro and you mostly talked down the story so I can't say anything there.

Remember this user?
He got shot
Feel old yet?

RE2 is better than all those games.

I'm replaying Metal Gear Rising so i'll pick that. I know its cheating shut up. Name a game that has more memorable lines
>I want him....dead
>All we're saying is.... give war a chance!
>Memes....the DNA of the soul
>It's time for Jack to let er rip!
>Your memes end here
>Like the good old days after 9/11!
>Kids can be cruel Jack, and I am very much in touch with my inner child
>I'M FUCKING INVINCIBLE
>Show me a good time, Jack!
>Played college ball ya know
>Nanomachines, son
>Don't fuck with this senator!
DMC V was pretty great though.

Code Vein, not ironically.

Sekiro has the best sword combat implementation in ANY videogame. You can forgive it having dull story and characters and no replayability, when gameplay is literally 11/10. The boss fights are fucking spectacular.

DMCV is more of the same thing, just better and more polished in every way. Its kind of outdated since platinum makes much better dmc games.

astral looks meh

Would you actually play a game before criticising it for once in your life

>hack n slash
>not many variations
lmfao

name one single action game with more variation than DMC5. literally name one.

1.

I own both on ps4

How is it outdated? The only action game platinum has made anywhere near dmc's complexity is bayonetta

Devil May Cry 5 for me so far.
DMC5 has overall great boss fights and gameplay and lacks in visual variety and level-design although keeps interest with it's decent fan-service story.
Sekiro was decent, but ultimately extremely underwhelming, I had far grander expectations and felt like shit once I got the "True" cliffhanger ending telling me "this is only le beginning of the story, ebin rite?!?!" and I was also somewhat underwhelmed by the repetitive and simple gameplay, I expected a lot more from Fromsoft saying that this totally wasn't like Souls but all they really managed to do was confirm to me that they can only really do one thing well and are just hacking it up.

It looks better than that, but I agree in general, Platinum is more style over substance compared to the Itsuno DMC titles.

DMC5
>V is shit
>Nero is mediocre until you unlock DT and DB for future playthroughs
>1st playthrough is too easy, hard mode should have been unlocked from the start
>story is a mess of fanservice
Astral Chain
>generic anime character designs
>generic anime story
>motorcycle driving mini games
>30 fps
Sekiro
>no other weapons
>no magic
>no stats
>no builds
>no pvp
>no replayability
>no moonlight sword or patches
Sekiro is the most consistent in quality but DMC5 has greater highs
Astral Chain might be okay

Sekiro peaks at the beginning because it's fun to learn the game's parry based gameplay system but once you've got it down the game gets real easy and repetitive.

Sekiro is already out of the running. Astral Chain has some hard competition. I don't care for AC's art style but I have hopes for the gameplay

They're all mediocre stories with mechanics that exist for the sake of existing. The action genre continues to be the biggest brainlet magnet.

Code Vein

you didn't point out any problem, you were wrong in every single thing you said lmao

>Its kind of outdated since platinum makes much better dmc games.
The only Platinum game better than DMC5 is trapped on the WiiU and one of the two games that are close behind it is permanently gone from storefronts and had its source code erased.

I think Astral Chain looks really nice though, the gameplay has enough systems to make it look like its own combat system while keeping Platinum trademarks. It's not Bayonetta, it's not a full-blown ARPG, it's somewhere in-between with elements of fucking Chaos Legion of all things.

>V is shit

literally the best character in the whole series

If only

Its DMC and I say this as a platinum fag. Astral chain will be good but sekiro doesn't even stack up to mgr in terms of gameplay.

AC will win if it doesn't have a shoehorned bullet-hell section or a vehicle section

You didn't really point out anything valid. You just make an assumption about Astral Chain and call the other two games boring.

I liked Sekiro the most.

I like how this looks but why it has to be episodic?

>Has Kamiya's name on it
>Not having a space harrier section or a motorcycle section
user, I'm sorry but it's gonna be there and you will like it, cause I know I will

Should i emulate DMC3 or download the pc version ?

Attached: gay_cowboys.jpg (1000x563, 111K)

1. If they're breaking the FFVII Remake emergency glass, they're going to make people buy multiple games
2. Midgar is the most iconic part of the game so giving it its own game is the only way that the feeling of it being this vast city that opens up into a an even vaster world will be translated to the Remake
3. Square has no fucking clue what the scope of this project is even now
4. If Midgar fucks anything up then they have another 2-3 dev cycles to get fan feedback and fix it; the full finished Remake may even retroactively fix issues with earlier Episodes

Astral Chain isn't out yet

but between DMC5 and Sekigay
DMC5 is miles better and actually has a fuckable mc, which is honestly all that matters when it comes down to it

isn't the PC version of DMC3 shit?

Attached: DoUU7PoUgAAQDBU.jpg (1157x1200, 120K)

Get the HD Collection if you get a PC version. PC port has a ton of issues, and while the Style Switch Mod fixes many of them, the HD Collection has an equivalent mod and comes with DMC1. The only thing worse about HD Collection at that point is that Kalina Ann's grapple doesn't work properly but it's a shit move for the most part; 3 Kalina Ann is kind of bad outside of using it for the Arkham fight like Lady explicitly tells you to do.

Not DMC

Attached: 1561575380708.jpg (330x274, 83K)

>actually has a fuckable mc
are you referring ti Nero or Dante?

Sekiro has little value as an action game. The far and away most powerful and easiest strategy is to just stick to the fundamentals of the combat, attack and parry. The challenge doesn't come from learning the ins and outs of the system, just learning the timings of various bosses and enemy types.

Astral Chain looks like it'll be a very interesting game, but 30fps lock is a problem and the director hasn't really proven himself yet, I expect it to have more missteps than DMC5 even if it ends up having higher highs, which is not guaranteed. Maybe it'll blow me away, but I'm not going into that game expecting something better than DMC5.

I don't know.

I would just like DMC3 SE thank you. Emulation or PC version?

Astral Chain looks like a typical Platinum game thus far, good ideas but mediocre exectution coupled with THE FUCKING MINIGAMES NOBODY LIKES.

>not many variations in combos
>DMC

Attached: 1560218911208.png (541x558, 162K)

PC only if you get the Style Switch mod that fixes all the various bugs and obviously gives you access to extra features like Style Switching (although if you're playing for the first time I'd recommend playing the game as it released before using Style Switching since it was NOT balanced around that at all). What, do you not like DMC1?

The HD collection comes with DMC3 SE and is probably the best way to play on pc, but if you're really against that then I'd say emulate. The pc version has the style switching mod which fixes a few problem but not everything.

Astral Chain doesn't seem to have the minigame thing so much as having you actually do cop stuff between missions. I'll take stopping purse-snatchers and picking up litter in the same overworld as the rest of the game than most of the shit Bayonetta had me do. Stuff like looking at evidence, relaying your findings to your superior, and using your Legion to track energy signatures is pretty neat as well, although I don't know if that will get old.

I also like how the game has public outhouses as its sporadic mid-level secret like W101 did. It feels like a fun little nod.

>Astral Chain doesn't seem to have the minigame thing so much as having you actually do cop stuff between missions
Same shit. The shown investigation moment already bore me to tears. I can only imagine how badly the pacing will suffer in full game.
Platinum still can't understand that we're here for action gameplay and not the other half-assed shit they put into their games.

I'm a veteran, it's for collection purposes. So pc port with fixes is the definitive version? What if i don't care for style switching ?

So emulation is best if i don't care about style switching?

Attached: 1533369452656.jpg (300x287, 66K)

Yes, although emulation doesn't work the same on every machine so if that doesn't work then the original pc port with the mod fixes is playable.

It's just one big mod called Style Switch mod because that was the selling point, I'm pretty sure you can turn that off, but I mostly play HD Collection so I'm not 100% certain honestly. I guess if you're able to emulate 3SE properly without performance issues then you won't lose anything if you don't care about extra features from the mod.

Thanks dudles.

>shit gets boring

It only gets boring if you're shit at the game.
