Wurmple is a cute bug with a solid design, has a cute cry, evolves into Dustox who I adore as well.

corviknight's got one of the best designs i've seen for a long time. it's a shame pokemon S&S are looking a bit rough around the edges, i don't feel so good about buying the games at the moment.
i wonder what it's stats will be like.

It would've been if it didn't take so many steps back after Gen 2.
>no day-night cycle
>no pokephone with rematches
>no extensive post-game with a secret ultra boss
All this was pretty wack.
But at least graphical leap from GBC to GBA delivered enough of a novelty feel to overlook that at the time. That and many cool pokemon designs and features like secret bases and whole Regi hunt sidequest. Still looking back G3 was much weaker as a game than G2.
