Because video games are pretty bad awful and not rewarding anymore.
I've playing mostly indie games and I even noticed that I've been completing them after 2~3 hours or up to less than 5 days, which isn't great because then I have nothing else to do for a while... What's annoying is how a bunch of games now have to be multiplayer centric so you need friends to play them to fully enjoy it, and I don't have any that would play with me — like I have friends who play all the time but not with me, it's either they don't have the system or won't pay for it, or just won't play cause they don't want to put in the time even if free.
So I resort to playing the game three games until a new one comes out and play that for a week, then go back to what I was normally doing, eventually stop playing then browse watch YouTube, 4channel and edit videos.
Not to mention microtransactions and DLC being so rampant in games now-a-days just turns me off from ever giving it a chance even if it really good, mainly fighting games.
