The game quality on the regular switch screen is already low, more so for certain games. Quality on this lite version will just be lower and if it can't connect to a Tv it won't even be fixable. What we need is a version with more processing power but Nintendo as always is over a decade behind on hardware power

Why? This is a direct downgrade in terms of features, it doesn't even look like you can play it docked or separate the joy cons from the actual console. If I ever buy a Switch (which at this moment I'm very far from even considering it) I would never go for this instead of the normal one.

I use my switch almost exclusively for local multiplayer with my family and friends (smash, mario kart, cadence of hyrule, overcooked)

Also I like building courses in Mario Maker 2 with the touchscreen more than a controller so I've been playing it handheld more lately. Makes me really realize just how shit the battery life is, I can't imagine actually bothering to play it outside the house.

Certain games run like SHIT in portable mode. Look up digital foundry’s Xenoblade 2 review. This thing certainly isn’t going to be beefier.
However a lot of games are fine. I played 300+ hours of MHGU and performance was constantly good across handheld mode and docked. Hollow Knight ran fine too.
You’re probably only fucked if you want to play stuff lik Xenoblade, Daemon x Machina, Witcher, DOOM, PS4 ports, etc on it.
I also bet the new Pokemon is gonna run like shit because somehow fucking Let’s Go had bad performance undocked

Don't get me wrong, "battery life" is a meme anyway and any electronic that's actually doing something worthwhile is going to need to be plugged in. The portability is defined as a small thing that's easy to plug in and charge somewhere. I just wish it was a little longer though because even sitting around making levels in touchscreen mode at home is annoying.

I did buy a Wii U for MH3U and I did re-buy MK8Deluxe. But I guess that was offset by being able to pirate and play BoTW a week before release.

At least with the 2DS, every game ran basically the at the same performance as the 3DS. Meanwhile with the switch, some games are almost unplayable in handheld and should only be played in TV mode. It's simply overpriced for a product that is so much inferior.

The truth. Let's be honest here, the original Switch is portable but not quite small enough to fit into pockets or so, and be brought out at any time to play when outside. This is smaller and has less detachable parts, so it's much easier to bring outside and play whenever I want. Those slight differences makes are actually rather huge. Switch is made to be played all around the house while Lite is made to be brought outside.

Joycons don't drift due to wireless issue (which were fixed) that causes dropped inputs and/or complete controller disconnects. The sticks are china-tier and damage themselves during normal use.
