If you put any effort into your gamemode, write your own custom addons, don't play on Downtown, and don't put NEED ADMINS!!! in the server name, nobody will play on your server. These are hard facts I learned. I spent a summer making a cops and robbers GTA gamemode and literally nobody joined it. Funny too because when I was a freshman in high school I had a shitty generic DarkRP server that averaged 20-30 players.
