they dont really need to do everything from scrap, they can just let the community do stuff in the workshop and implement those items.
Some people have a problem that valve now only throws in items from the workshop and thats it. For me its a good thing, as long as its not done by a retard.
the models are done, ideas are done and the animations are done aswell. You just need to code everything in.
The game aged very well with valve carefully polishing every character with its look, personality and charm. theyre pretty much done and community can just pick up the slack adding actions and hats to the already made characters.
This game is just the mandatory PC game, for me it should stay alive forever. You will never replicate the same feels, the same style and the same gameplay as tf2 did with something else.
