It's the continuation of the ttrpg tradition, started and continued by boomers who played DnD and other games.
When people think RPG now they think of a few of the different genres of videogames that came from it, but often forget its beginning.

RPing is basically just storytelling, but instead of 1 person doing it with alot of planning, its a group of people that're largely making stuff up on the spot.
The good things about this are that it lets players have more of a role in a story than as a silent blank-slate hero, and that the other people involved make individual power limited and exact outcome uncertain.

The problems with it (and I think this is where people who dont get RP are coming from) are:
Other people aren't very good writers/performers, even less so when they have to do it on the spot
And whether or not someone is, some people find doing either of those things to be uncomfortable to attempt. Sort of like when people are afraid of public-speaking, which I would argue is autistic.

Being offended by what other people do for fun is also arguably pretty autistic.

Most roleplaying MUD and MUSH players are 30+.

My understanding of it is that the greatest-generation participated in WW2, and Boomers are anyone who was born to one of those people.

I've tried singleplayer RP, but I've never been able to get into the mindset.
Like, I think I need either the game, or for other players to subtley keep me thinking of the game as a story.

Just seek out people with similar kinks, and know what to look for with profiles. I've also been introduced to many new kinks through my partners.

Oh hell yeah, I play a bull all the time. Just make a profile, get some good pictures, assign your custom kinks and away you go. Sometimes people will come to you depending on some factors but I would do a combination of posting a simple ad in the LFRP channel (Looking for Role-Play) about your cuckolding desires and then message back anyone who talks to you, and or send messages to anyone you find online with similar kinks. There's also pretty good character search tools you can use both online in chat and on the website to find people, and you can use the "bookmark" function so you can see them online later when you're both on so you can RP.

My oldest character is literally 7 years old now so you know, been doing this for a while.

Tried being a demon, a minotaurus and a werewolf, she seemed to like it but more drawn toward pure feral, mainly horses and dogs.
Now I try to get my character in the action helping the animal fucking her, bring some variations.

It seems that what she like the most is the afterwards moment when I tell that she smell like wet dog or reeks of horse cum, and say that NPCs saw her doing that, while blackmailing her into doing more.
