And even if there was a mainline last year, this still wouldn't make any fucking sense. It's just tacking an IP onto a likely at least decent game in the hopes that it will help sales. Just like the Marvel comics bring in way more revenue than the movies, right? Yeah Turok was a comic first, but the games are what brought it into the wider zeitgeist. But all of that aside, this new game doesn't fit the comics either.

That argument isn't about it fitting, it's about it being so drastically different from the games. Turok the gritty shooter was just as different from the source material as Turok the cute adventure.
